My boyfriend and I stayed at the Secret Room for a four nights during the August bank holiday. We paid €760. On arrival we were disappointed to hear that the main hotel, La Paloma, was closed for the summer as Sophie was on maternity leave. This meant that Sophie's friend, Juliette, looked after us during our stay so we did... More

I traveled throughout Europe for six weeks and stayed at La Paloma for five nights. It was the best part of my trip! Sophie is the most attentive host. She made tons of recommendations regarding shopping, dining and sightseeing. She speaks fluent English which was such a relief as I speak very little French. She'd call ahead to locations for... My husband and I stayed at La Paloma for our honeymoon, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! The house, and particularly our room, were both so romantic and gorgeously decorated. Sophie, the owner, did a great job of maintaining the 16th century character of the house, while modernizing it and making it feel like home. The result is... More

We had the privilege of being one of the first guests to try out the new addition at La Paloma….”The Secret Room” with a private Jacuzzi and –soon to come- Moroccan courtyard. The room was a dream, Barbetane, one the most beautiful and tranquil villages in the area and location wise, a great point to discover Provence. All that a... More

What a treat; Sophie, the house and Barbentane. Thankfully we had TomTom, our GPS to navigate us, as well as Sophie's helpful directions; we found the house no problem. An epic, unforgettable stay. NOt to mention Barbentane being the highlight of our trip. We stayed in the Diadem room, gorgeous with breath taking views of the surrounding hillsides, supper comfy... More

We stayed for two nights at La Paloma and had a wonderful time. It's a perfect "base" for all travels in the region and Sophie makes it very easy for you with great touring and restaurant recommendations. Really good organic breakfast, too. :) We'd absolutely recommend La Paloma.

We loved the "Venus" room as it provided comfort, unusal but tasteful decor, light and brightness, in a romantic setting. Nothing was too much trouble for Sophie. She helped us move in after we got lost, provided all sorts of helpful information, made great Brittany crepes and was very easy to relate to. The house is situated in a wonderful... More

My wife and I stayed for two days at La Paloma an I can honestly stay that it was the highlight of our trip. The little town of Barbebtane is a perfect base camp, close enough to all the main sights, yet small enough to enjoy the experience of a Provincial small town that you would absolutely miss out on...
