I really recommend this hotel to everybody . The Staff in this hotel were amazing and kind, they made our stay fantastic. Our room was really clean and inviting with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water plus we were lucky enough to have a breath taking view. The breakfast was varied and fresh. Our only regret is not leaving this... More

After arriving late with my daughter, the dinner took a little while to be prepared but was worth the wait, and noone could mind waiting when the view from the dining room is so magnificent! The staff were friendly, warm and very attentive at dinner and this attentivness continued after we went to our room. I discovered my bed was... More

We had a very pleasant evening here, nice evening meal and breakfast and a large room . We were on the top floor, but we had small bags so it didn't matter. We were travelling on an impromptu visit to Scotland, so did not pre-book (in fact over our 6 day trip the only night that was a bit of... More

We stayed at the end of a 10 day break in Scotland and were left completely perplexed by this hotel. Lovely location and the potential to be excellent but the arrangements and organisation appeared to be made on the hoof. Whether it has changed hands recently I dont know but there had been flood damage apparently and it was almost... More

Don't judge this hotel by its magnificent appearance. 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating' and in this instance I would opt for a different pudding. Three star rating is inexplicable. The management team clearly have no understanding of expected hotel standards. Unfortunately, an extremely poor advert for Highland Hospitality. More

I stayed for two nights with my grandson in this old hotel. The setting could not be better being only a few miles from the beautiful Glencoe and Loch Leven. The staff were very friendly but scarce on the ground. Our twin room was spacious and the view from the window was spectacular. I do have some complaints however. The... More

Four of us stayed in this hotel as a base for some winter walking as we looked to bag some munro's in the highlands. Based on previous reviews I have to say it was 50/50 whether things were going to work out or not. Having booked via walkhighlands.co.uk the booking went through ok, but having tried a half dozen times... More

Greeted at front desk by two dysfunctional but friendly West Indian ladies. Room looked lovely , great view but spouse got a bad dose of bed bugs and was itching for the next 10 days. The Restaurant food at night was very average...no wine list....slow service. Breakfast was fine however. Cost of room was above average and only offered continental... More

On a tour through Scotland we stayed at the Alt-Nan-Ros by recommendation of a friend. I have to admit my first impression was a bit uncertain. We were greeted by the owner and she seemed a bit distracted. However we had a lovely room on the 2nd floor overlooking the water. The room had a four poster bed, floor to... More
