We came in here for dinner but decided first to have a drink in the public bar. One of the locals told us the food was terrible! The Manager was a very young girl with a very bad attitude. For a Saturday night at 7.30pm there was our table of 4 and one other table of 2 in...this should have... More

This B&B is excellently located to the Gleneagles golf course. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. Our room was very large but showing signs of wear. More

We dicided quite last minute to eat out and visited the Blackford Hotel. We couldn't fault the food (the menu offered a great selection of items on each course and not the typical 'pub food' .... a pleasant surprise). It was presented well and tasted even better! The service was efficient, friendly and always with a smile. After our meal... More

We only dined here and would NOT recommend the food. My wife and 2 kids had a good meal as did my friend's partner. Both my friend and I ordered the Tagliatelle Carbonara as a treat...... When it came it was cold and the pasta was not cooked. It came with garlic bread of which I tried a piece. I... More

We were driving north on the A9 when we came upon this village, literally out of the mist! As I had been driving all the way from Southern England a comfort break was called for and we stumbled on this little gem of a hotel. The reception was warm and welcoming with a real log fire. Initially only stopping for... More

Great hotel to stay at! Got there much later than expected since the trains were late & that messed up our schedule but the staff was very accommodating. "The Brothy" aka the bar was a fun way to end the night... fun people, cheap drinks! SUPER comfy bed... nice shower... even had a cute plaid couch & TV. And kettle... More

Made very welcome by lad at bar but the manager seemed otherwise preoccupied with something (she didn't change for the rest of the night and she looked younger than the bar staff!) Evening meal was okay, perhaps worse than average for this type of hotel. Bar quite busy with locals and other guests and this contributed to a friendly atmosphere.... More

We booked to stay in this hotel for a last minute Saturday night. On arrival, the welcome was friendly but as we were shown to our room (no 4), there was a very noticable smell of damp in the corridor, which was a bit off putting. The room was prettily furnished, but not as clean as I would have hoped.... More

We only stayed one night but we had a lovely time. Staff were friendly and accommodating. In room information booklets were excellent. The only thing letting the place down slightly is the standard of the evening meal but perhaps we just picked a bad night. I would highly recommend staying here. More
