This is a very attractive place to spend a few days but it is really a posh B&B rather than a hotel because they only do breakfast. The breakfast, however, is first class with lovely fresh fruit and very good bacon and sausages with perfect toast and quality butter. We stayed 6 nights and the bedding was changed every other... We booked a superior double room for one night. The room was huge with a super-king bed. Room and ensuite very clean - lovely crisp bedding. Breakfast was excellent. We have no complaints about this hotel and would recommend it to others.

This is our second stay at this lovely quirky hotel. The owner Mark is pleasant and polite. Hotel has kept its old character. The reception area, breakfast room and guest lounge are all spotlessly clean. Last time we stopped we had one of the superior quirky bedrooms, this time we had standard bedroom which was neat clean and tidy. Breakfast... More

We booked the family room, No 5, which had adjoining accommodation comprising of double and twin rooms. The owner Mark also provided a clean and comfortable travel cot for our 8 week old son. The room itself was spotless, full of character and the beds were very comfortable, all if us (including the baby) had a restful nights sleep. Breakfast... More

Good off road parking to the rear, but be careful of the large stones surrounding the central grass area. Nice welcome from the owner with a good recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. The room. 10, was very clean, spacious with all the usual facilities. Good to see a kettle plugged in and ready to be switched on without needing... More

Myself and my wife stayed here the night of our wedding, having the ceremony at a close by location. My wife and her bridesmaid had spent the night before at the hotel as well. The staff were just brilliant, looking after my wife on the morning of our big day, adding nice little touches like a card and chocolates. The... More

Stayed with a party of 10 for a friends wedding nearby. We stayed in room 7 which was spacious with a nice clean bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was the usual complimentary bathroom products & tea/coffee making facilities. The shower was a bit odd, it either came out in a full stream like a tap or sprayed out to... More

For our purposes, this was a lovely hotel. The welcome was friendly and helpful, and our room at the top of the house was comfortable, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. The beamed ceiling was low, and there was a warning not to bang your head on the low doorway, but that's not unusual in old buildings. Wifi worked fine; didn't... More

This was my second stay at Rounceval House and it was just as lovely as the first - a sympathetically restored Georgian building, it retains historic charm and character whilst providing modern, well thought out amenities. Breakfast was excellent, and delivered with friendly service. Room spacious and clean and the free wi-fi a real bonus. There is free parking at... More
