It was a great experience staying inside the jungle. The forest was beautiful, lovely birds, sunset, away from city traffic and cell phones. Had maggie and tea with friends after safaris. Rooms were clean with beautiful view. enjoyed my trip to Corbett and looking forward for the next one.thanks to my friends.

30 Kms inside Dhikala Zone of Jim Corbett Natioanl Park, Dhikala Forest Rest House is one and only property, owened & operated by government. This is a Very Good Rest House between jungle & quite comfortable. Don't expect luxury though! The rooms are basic with facility for hot water & a comfortable restaurant with food which is very tasty &... More

It is Perhaps the best location to see wildlife so closely. FRH is situated approx 40 KM inside the dense Sal forest through a narrow road. Dhikala FRH is a large complex overlooking gurgling Ramganga river and Mountains. Inside the FRH, there are some nice rooms , spacious restaurant, one Library containing good collection of books on wild life and... More

The USP of this place is location location location…. Here are some of the ground rules you should observe before u decide to stay at this place 1) After spending a day in the gypsy/ elephant’s back (including the trip from jungle gate to the forest rest house), watching a wildlife movie at the rest house & then staying up... I have been a wildlife traveler for long time. Being in forest you cant expect all the luxury what we look for during tours. But if you talk about Dhikala, it fulfill most of your need you looking for. The most importing thing is the location, it's 21 km deep in from the entrance of forest. Thats makes it more... More

As a wildlife photographer I have been visiting Corbett almost every year in last 10 years. If anybody asks me to swap my confirmed booking of Dhikala FRH with a 20K plus package of any resorts located on the periphery of the park, my answer will be NO. Why only me. Ask any wildlife photographer the same question and you... More

OK we went there in March and I am usually a 5* queen but when you go inside the park you should expect the accommodation not to be 5* or even 3*, but once we had got the bed linen and towels changed, this place was absolutely fine. There was nothing that was needed that was not provided. We had... More

I knew from the forums that the Dhikala Forest Guest House was bad, but no amount of online ranting could prepare me for just how bad. We stayed two nights in early March 2013 and were originally given room No.2 in the New Forest Guest House block. The only vaguely positive aspect to it was the view over the reservoir... More

Excellent location, with very basic accommodations. Largely clean but then needs a little extra input like all government owned places do. There is no bed-side table lamp or a light switch. Bed linen and towels, though fresh, could have been better cleaned. Food is good. Restaurant service is okay but room sevice needs improvement. Bathroom area equipped with hot and... More

This lodge is in a great location and we spent three excellent days doing jeep and elephant safaris. This is the place to see the wildlife in the park from. As others have said the accommodation is basic. The problem is the beds. Mattresses are very hard and the bedlinen is poor. The room is spacious and the shower and... More
