This beautifully located hotel is very atmospheric, both from the outside and on the inside. The room we had wasn't the biggest, but because of all the wooden elements, very 'romantic'. The rooms are clean and tidy and rather sweetly decorated. We had a stable room so sitting room/balcony downstairs and bedroom (with 4 beds) up steep ladder on the top floor - rather fun but not if you are not steady on your feet. It was all good but the rooms were not sound proofed and that was not ideal.

Ok, the unfortunate fact first: By our standards, this nice hotel was very expensive: Over 300 EUR for a double room. This included all meals, however, and the country is a very expensive place to start with. As can be expected in Norway, the alcoholic drinks were extra, and also very expensive.
