This is our second time at Undara and it still totally amazes me. We always stay in the hertiage railway carriages and find them very clean and comfortable. It's like stepping back in time to go to sleep. We booked the 2 day package which included all meals and tours. Good value for money. Some may say it's expensive, but... More

Cabins are excellent, almost new with verendahs and comfortable seating so one would be hard pressed to find fault there. A word of caution though, don't hang a damp shirt on the stained wooden chairs unless you want it brown stained like mine is. Railway Carriages tired, dated, no air-con, room cannot be locked while you are absent, toilet door... More

Stayed in the railway carriages, kids loved it, the bush breakfast is highly recommended - the children get to toast their bread over the fire, just a nice experience + good coffee. Perfect example of how to make "basic" work. Wallabies, pool, the lava tube tour was good, staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Easy 2 days with young children and... More

I stayed at Undara 13 times now and have always found it a pleasure. I have never stayed in the train or the new huts but chose the camping option. The campsites are nice, large and most sites are surrounded by tall trees providing generous shade. Each site is fitted with a camp fire area...perfect for those cooler evenings. You... More

We stayed here for one night in a railway carrage with ensuite bathroom and we loved it. There is no air-conditioning, only a small fan and it might get very hot during the warm season. We had dinner and breakfast in the nearby restaurant. The dinner was excellent, the breakfast was ok, but far too expensive. We had booked for... More

Although pricey, this is a unique outback experience. Stayed in the train carriage overnight (without air conditioning on a 42 degree day) so that was a bit stuffy, but the beautifully kept pool made up for it. All food was great and staff could not have been more helpful.

We stayed in a campervan for three nights. Compared with the overpriced scams on the Queensland coast, this was a fantastic deal. Loads of wild life - we even saw dingoes - and the lava tubes are remarkable. We also enjoyed the sunset trip very much - very romantic. The food is no more expensive than that on the coast.... More

Lovely walks and tours, food is pricey in the restaurant. Great to be able to have fires near your powered site. They need more rubbish bins around the area. Our tour guide Gary was a wealth of information and provided our boys with plenty of laughs. The staff were extremely helpful, we had a wonderful time and truly appreciated the... More

We stayed in a swag tent on a deal that included dinner, evening wildlife tour, breakfast and a 2 hour lava tubes tour. Relatively speaking this is a good deal as effectively the stay in the swag tent is free when you add up the cost of everything else. The swag tents are pretty basic - single camp beds with... More

I stayed 1 day at the Undara Experience, but not in the famous trainlodges, but in a swag tent, which is affordable and can be used for 2 persons (and there are bigger versions too) The swagtent is only 34 aussie dollar but without linnen. All other accomodations are very expensive and not that luxerious, therefor this choice. The park... More
