The best bed & breakfast I have ever stayed in, and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. This family-owned and run home oozes warmth, relaxation and fun. You get a strong sense of being completely looked after. We were hopeless travellers - losing a passport and getting a sprained ankle. They took it in their stride... More

This is a terrific place to visit. Quiet and relaxing, when compared with the traffic and crowds encountered in Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Candelaria is a step back in time to a medieval, walled, hill-top town, with narrow cobbled streets and no cars within the walls. But no problem parking outside the walls, with only a short walk up... More

La Torretta is the perfect place to get away to a world where time seem to be standing still. We loved staying in the beautiful historic house filled with the warmth and friendliness of Maureen, Roberto and Jennifer. The rooms are very generous and the views spectacular. Maureen is always at hand with plenty of insider tips on how to... More

This is a fabulous place! The house is beautiful with fabulous views from the terrace and Maureen, Roberto and Jennifer are perfect hosts. Casperia is an extraordinary maze of wonderful streets and buildings with a timeless quality of peace and tranquillity. You can spend all day wandering happily around Casperia - there’s a simple but adequate restaurant in the town... More

We had a great time in Casperia staying at La Torretta during our honeymoon. We were only there for two nights, but wished we could have stayed longer! The owners were great, and the views were wonderful. We did a cooking class which was amazing. Several of the other guests had visited multiple times, which really speaks for La Torretta,... More

Seven of us stayed at La Torretta at the end of April 2011. We had a wonderful time! The bedrooms were clean, comfortable, and we had a beautiful view of the hillside. We took a cooking class at the B&B which was a blast. We learned how to make authentic Italian dishes and enjoyed a 4 course meal to follow.... More

If you can walk 100 meters up and down steps you will have a great time. The village is picturesque, the local walks are fascinating, the wine, cheese and olive oil are superb - beaten only by the welcome! Get to know the owners Roberto and Maureen - they will arrange most things for you with ease and insight. Such... More

My wife, son and I just returned to our home in Houston, Texas, after spending an incredible two weeks touring Italy. One our stops was a night at La Torretta Bed & Breakfast, located in the village of Casperia, Italy. What a treat! We had never experienced such honest and down home hospitality as we found from La Torretta B... More

A beautiful B&B in the heart of a quiet hill town and Maureen and Roberto were perfect hosts for our 5 day cooking, oil tasting and chill-out break. Having been let down by a travel agency going into liquidation 2 weeks before our intended holiday, we contacted La Torretta directly in an attempt to rescue our plans; Maureen couldn't have... More
