Restaurant smelled a bit funny inside, so we ate outside. Fish and chips was perfect! An absolute gem of a find! Found hotel SAnto on our last day but had we found it any sooner, would've gone back for fish n chips again and again! Very well priced too (lunch). Good place for lunch if you're diving with Allan Power... More

We were in Santo on business and due to a delay had to stay one night. Paid approx 130 AUD. Basic hotel, in the center of Luganville. Rooms and ensuite bathroom clean, no frills, dark decor. 1 towel but good selection of shampoos and even toothpaste/toothbrush which you don't get in most mid-ranges. Rooms have basic furnishings, no TV. Some... More

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Santo in the ground floor rooms in September 12 and moved here at the last minute at we did not like the hotel we had initially booked. The location in the middle of Lugganville is convenient. The garden and the swimming pools are very pleasant, although the swimming pool could have been cleaned better.... More

We arrived in Luganville with 4 days to spare and no booking. The Lonely Planet suggested Hotel Santo as the best pick, so we took a punch. The reception from the owner was mixed. She told us straight she has no internet at the moment. We were aware that there is simple sleeping at the bottom and more luxurius at... More

Central location within the low key township of Luganville. Great value and very friendly atmosphere. A little bit of a time warp. Ground floor, fan cooled rooms are spacious with louvered, screened windows allowing a cross flow breeze. Lovely tropical gardens and a reasonable sized, older style pool. Water was a little cloudy though. No beach area in the actual... More

I stayed for 3 nights and thought Hotel Santo was a well kept and characterful option for those staying on Santo who don't want to be cut off in a remote resort. It is handily situated in the middle of Luganville yet was peaceful and with a beautifully kept garden area. My none a/c garden room was good value and... More

Despite being a little tired and dated, this is still a great place to stay. The rooms are large and clean, the staff are friendly, and the food was excellent. (I had the best scrambled eggs this side of the equator...) The location can't be better, right on the main street. The pool and outdoor area are nice, but are... More

The old lady of Luganville's Main Street - you really should try it. Cool dark and aging entrance lounge opens up to an oasis of quietness as you enter the garden courtyard. The rooms are clean and absolutely fine - aircon/fans/fridge....showers are really only hot in the evening after the water has heated by solar panels. Breakfast basic but fine.....friendly... More

This was my third visit to Luganville, but my first time at the Hotel Santo. My first choice was Deco-Stop, but this was full. Since I was diving with Allan Power, it made sense to stay just across the road from his dive facility. It is no secret that this hotel is old, there are no room phones or TV...but... More

We recently stayed here for a few day while we were diving the USS Coolidge with Allan Power. It was a great hotel and is right across the street from the dive shop, which makes it super easy to run back to your room for lunch. The hotel also has a dive gear locker and wash area and Allan dropped... More
