My husband and I stayed at this Relais et Chateau hotel for 2 nights recently. As with Relais et Chateau properties in France, there is a formal but also a relaxing feel to the atmosphere. Our room (# 111) was spacious and had a small balcony from which to view the beautiful grounds. We ate both lunch and dinner in... More

We stopped at the Auberge for two nights on the way to Paris. It's a Relais so service can seem somewhat formal as it is still in the traditional style which is most welcome to those of us who enjoy the formalities of exquisite travel. Quite frankly things are much more relaxed even in France and everything has more of... More

We stayed here just one night-August 29th. Booked the prestige package - a suite, dinner for two on the prestige menu and breakfast. We didn't really have any expectations as it was a one night stop over as we went from Alsace to bordeaux. What an amazing surprise! The two from suite with a fantatstic bathroom #139 was lovely. Dinner... More

We came to this hotel as a weekend getaway from Paris. The hotel was cute and reminded me of a hunting lodge. The rooms were classicly decorated in French decor. We had a nice relaxing time by the pool and playing tennis. The only thing that bothered me was the noise from the National highway. Make sure to ask for... More

I agree with the Tripadvisor review July 1, 2012------nice property, fine (expensive) dining, some nice staff. The woman in charge of service and the restaurant is somewhat difficult. Better to be a French guest. Watch out for the rooms close to the reception/restaurant as they are close to the busy N Road----Americans will be placed there so be sure and... More

The area and the place are absolutely beautiful and perfect; very nice property with huge park, old trees, nice and very clean rooms on different places, great original and fine dining with huge wine cellar, the kitchen is spotless, professional service and some nice staff. It is a pleasure to experience and it’s worth a detour. We were delighted and... More

A couple of hours south of Paris and a world away. The grounds are almost from a time past, carefully groomed, impeccably kept. The rooms are especially carefully fashioned providing all the modern comforts but not intruding on the senses. The cuisine is worthy of the star Michelin has afforded it, especially the foie gras starter/appetizer on the short menu,... More

If you're after a getaway for two, somewhere with real charm and about 90 minutes from Paris, then this is a good option. Just make sure you have a deep pocket. Being a Relais et Chateaux comes with a price. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the pristine pool set in the middle of the park, surrounded by the thatched roof buildings,... More

my wife and i stayed at les templiers 40 years ago (when it had a 2 star michelin restaurant) and never forgot the experience. trying to recapture fond memories is always risky, but this time it worked. having traveled extensively throughout france many times, it seems to be that the closer one gets to paris, the cooler the reception and... We stayed here for 1 night on our way home from the South of France. It is a lovely environment, the rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. Like a previous review we also found the staff rather cool with English people in comparison to how they were with the french guests. Hardly anyone spoke english and the service... More
