“Motorcycling Holiday”

We arrived to a friendly welcome on our GS1150A sidecar outfit. We've been before, we came back, we like it and we'll be back again. Not luxurious, but comfortable, clean, full of character, quaint and roomy with great food.

“A very nice pub lunch”

We popped into the Rose and Crown a few weeks ago whilst staying in the area. We were greeted by friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere; our dog especially liked the warm open fireplace. It is always unfortunate when we have to implement our cancellation policy - which was introduced in response to an increasing number of last minute cancellations and 'no-shows'. We are always concerned when a customer finds us less than 100% welcoming. Unfortunately I missed your arrival on the first occasion, although it would be hard to forget the excited conversation surrounding the rosette! We arrived late on a fri night from London. The warmth of the local banter, lovely owners, huge comfortable room and delicious breakfast made for a wonderful stay. Next time we'd love to stay longer! Sarah & Tom

Visited in Nov 2012 and pretty much perfect for us being a bunch of Mountain Bikers Comfortable, clean and characterful. Owners very friendly. Beer and food excellent (and great value too). “Very pleasant old building in delightful village”

The room was clean and comfortable, with a victorian fireplace in the bathroom! Breakfast was well presented and most enjoyable. I found no difficulty in parking nearby and would be happy to stay again.

“A lovely stay!”

We stayed at the Rose and Crown for two nights, having our evening meal in the bar both nights. The atmosphere was relaxed and attentive and breakfast the next morning very satisfying. The room was very comfortable and quiet. All in all a very restful stay.
