We stayed for two nights. The studio room was a little small and it was hard to fit our luggage in, there was a small kitchenette (microwave/kettle/toaster) and a bathroom that was almost bigger than the actual room. There was no sink in the kitchen area so we had to wash the dishes in a tiny bathroom sink. It was... More

We went to Hobart from Sydney for our babymoon and we stayed in Abs by the bay for one night on 5th April, which we felt now that we should stayed there more nights! We were so happy of what we seen when we arrived to Abs by the Bay, we arrived there around 6pm, we enjoyed our beautiful sundrown... More

We were visiting the Port Arthur historical site on a 2 day pass so needed to stay somewhere overnight. We chose to stay in the Skippers studio which is the motel style room, perfect for a quick stay. Apart from the stunning gardens, the room is absolutely spotless and very well appointed. The hosts were lovely and helpful. We didn't... More

We stayed one night in the studio apartment and found it to be immaculately clean, thoughtfully appointed. As soon as you turn into Abs' well marked entrance, you find yourself in a quiet, narrow beautifully landscaped drive past the two rentals to the owners' home, where a path extends through the garden to the water beyond. Stewart greeted us, provided... More

As soon as you enter the driveway, the stuning gardens set the scene for this beautiful establishment. The hosts were very welcoming, offering advice on the local area, and the single bedroom unit had everything we needed. Spotlessly clean it was like a home away from home, including games and a bookshelf. I would recommend it to anyone looking at... More

Our 3 night stay at Abs by the Bay was a real delight! On arrival we turned in the driveway to be confronted with a beautifully landscaped garden full of variety & colour. The owner was most welcoming & helpful in every respect, including offering the use of herbs from the garden. The two bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable... More

We booked at Abs by the sea very last minute, late in the afternoon of the day we wanted to stay. We were advised that they were fully booked but they did have a small cabin suitable for a couple that was available. We paid only $90 for the night. It was wonderful, exactly what we were looking for. The... More

We had 5 stopovers during our two week road tour around Tasmania and the last was the best. Arriving shortly after the devastating bush fires we did have some concerns, especially as the route to the Tasman Peninsular goes through the most damaged areas. Our hosts were reassuring and helpful with suggestions about what we might like to do and even... More

We stayed at Abs by the Bay in January when the wildfires were blazing throughout Tasmania. In fact, during our stay, the fires came too close for comfort and we were evacuated... But it was hard to leave. We had become family with the owners - they emptied out their refrigerators to ensure that their guests would have enough to... More

We found these units to be exceptional value when visiting Port Arthur for one night. The room was well equipped, comfortable and clean - in short, everything we needed. The area is quiet and guests have access to the waterfront area at the back of the property. It is only a short drive to the Port Arthur Historical Site, so... More
