We stayed at The Paddocks at Kuilfontein. What a great stopover. The Paddocks is the self-catering part of Kuilfontein. The accommodation is very comfortable and very good pre-cooked meals can be ordered in advance.

If you are driving between Cape Town and Johannesburg, this makes a perfect overnight stop to break the journey. Arrived with 2 tired young kids after 7 hours in the car, and everything was forgotten once they met Maxi (little Jack Russell). The Accomodation, service and location was perfect, and located right off the N1. Disappointed that we will not be staying again on our way back from Plett.

We have stayed here for a number of years and the Southey's and their family and staff are just the friendliest people and make the stopover so good. The rooms are good and the dinners amazing. We have tried other places but none match Kuilfontein. We highly recommend this stopover at the beginning or end of your holiday.
