3 January 2008 We are a family of four and have just returned from a 16 day trip to Antigua and Montserrat. For the Antigua leg we stayed 7 days at the Long Bay Hotel, (our second time there) and really enjoyed it. It is a great place to wind down. We sat and read, (though I jogged most mornings)... More

My husband and I spent nine days at the Long Bay Hotel, and we loved it. The hotel is traditional Caribbean style with lots of spaces open to the sky, ceiling fans, lush gardens, cozy rattan and hardwood furniture, woven mats on tiled floors, romantic views, corners designed for quiet relaxation with cool breezes. It has been lovingly maintained and... More

I cannot say how much I enjoyed our holiday to Long Bay Hotel. It was everything I was expecting and more! No queues for meals at this hotel. Waitress service which was always a treat as we giggled our way through each meal with the sunny smiles given to us by ALL members of staff. The fresh grapefruit is the... More

18 - 28 th April...Well my mum looked through Trip advisor about this hotel and only saw 1 small complaint so we booked the hotel. I must say we were surprised by the greeting from the lady in charge, almost " oh lord 2 more guests " was it the cricket that had worn her out?? anyway we were shown... More

We have just returned from Long Bay Hotel which has so much potential to be an exclusive gem but is let down badly by the staff. We totally agree with the comments of others in that the attitude of the waitress's in the main restaurant is appaling, they are surly, rude and unhelpful and cannot wait to remove plates, even... On a day trip round Antigua in 1986 we stopped at the Long Bay Hotel beach restaurant and had lunch and spoke to a well-known actor we recognised also eating there. He introduced us to the manager, who showed us around one of the Upper Bay rooms. Come 2007 and I finally made it to the hotel for 12 days... More

We have been to Antigua many times over the past 5 years. This hotel is set in a lovely location within a few minutes walk to the wonderful sandy beach. The hotel is small, the rooms are adequate, nicely furnished with views over the water sports bay. The fans provided in the rooms were often not enough to cool the... More

Long Bay should be a gem and in many ways, it is a lovely place. The beach is great. The beach bar is well maintained, with a small gazebo where a steel band plays on Thursdays. The Bay itself is a nice spot for kayaking, sailing or taking out the fishing boats, and although the rooms are pretty basic (don’t... More

Long Bay Hotel should be a gem. It is exactly the sort of place we like: small, quiet, unpretentious. It is set on the most beautiful beach we saw in Antigua and has good snorkeling. Unlike the March 2007 reviewer, we never encountered cruise ship passengers on the beach in the ten days we were there. The rooms while modest... More

We stayed at Long Bay for 12 nights in February 07. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what is a really beautiful location and probably the best on the Island. The atmosphere at the hotel is unusual in that it resembles a house party with regular returning guests making newcomers such as ourselves feel welcome. It is difficult to fault... More
