My husband and I reserved a river view room for one night. Beautiful view and great location for all our needs! We were quickly dealt with at the desk by friendly and efficient staff. Our room was on the 4th floor and spotless! There was an outside bar beside tge river which was lovely. We plan to return in a few months. We are looking g forward to another lovely stay!

The response time for group reservations was a bit long (like everything during the Covid). Once the process was started, the service was above expectations and accommodating to the needs of my group.

I had booked a room at this hotel a few weeks ago. less than 48 hours before checkin, I got a phone call warning me that the room I booked would have noise until 2am, as is apparently the way it is with the entire 2nd floor. No mention of the "no-sleep until 2am policy" anywhere on their website. I had confirmed my reservation by phone 4 days before. I travel with a child, this is completely unacceptable and shows very poor customer service. I obviously cancelled my reservation and couldn't attend a family event in the area. This is complete bush league. Do not book with these people.

We stayed one night (before my daughter’s early morning gymnastics competition) at the hotel. Unfortunately, there was a large wedding that evening / night. Our room was on the fourth floor (highest), and we could tell what song was playing from the loud banging we would hear in our room. When asked, the front desk told us the wedding would finish early... before 1:30am! They could not relocate our room because the hotel was full. They never bothered to mention the loud wedding at the time of booking, nor did they offer any comp for the horrible night. Never EVER (writing in uppercase to cover the loud noise).

Nice hotel with a great view of the river, and the town of Joliette. My room was very clean and modern. The staff was helpful, and I found Cassandra especially accommodating. Mine was a quick one night stay, but I could see me returning with my wife for a longer visit.

A remarkably modern hotel for such a small town. In fact the whole town is quite hip and upbeat. The hotel is in a great location overlooking running water and in close walking distance to an art museum, shopping and tons of restaurants! The lobby is stunning and the art work is incredible. The staff are quite nice and prepared to answer questions about the local area in English and French. Check out the dinner scene it is incredible. The hotel restaurant serves a good buffet style breakfast. I am more of a fan of a make to order breakfast but this option suited our needs with pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and lots of bread options. The room I was in was spacious and clean with a mini fridge and a keurig machine. The wifi was excellent - great connection with no issues. I would definitely come back.

Second visit to this hotel and we enjoyed it again. Very clean, comfortable hotel. To the reviewers before this one, who complained about them speaking only French.... this is their town... their language... it is our job to fit in... not theirs. I don’t know French but was able to communicate just fine. Everyone we came in contact with knew some English. The restaurant has a fabulous buffet daily... and on this past Sunday... they had a larger buffet... with prime rib.. shrimp and all kinds of delicious salads... yummy bacon and croissants.. Loved most of the renovations in the bar area... except the new bar chairs... omg.. metal stools.. it made it feel like “please have one drink and leave”... but the atmosphere is more... “sit back.. relax.. and spend the evening here” So if your plan is to sit and enjoy... sit in the comfy chairs by the window.. facing the river that’s lit at night. Definitely will go again.

This was a pretty good hotel considering the size of the town. One recommendation is to ask for a view on the river, it is quite pretty in the evening. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was comfy and updated.

I stayed one night at Chateau Joliette. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. The shower was good and hot, and everything in the room was in good working condition. The front desk people were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English, thus saving themselves from listening to my terrible French. There's plentiful parking, and the hotel is not far from lots of places to eat, etc. It's not a scenic or elegant hotel, but certainly an easy place to spend the night. My only complaint: not enough outlets for charging devices. It would be good if they'd add a charger of the type that's on the base of a lamp, like lots of hotels have. Also, the curtains didn't quite close all the way, which was annoying--especially since this could be so easily remedied! I had hoped to sleep late on Saturday morning but the bright light woke me up at 6:00.
