The hostel has clean, modern facilities. The costs are good value. The welcome is excellent and everyone is very friendly. A good location if you plan on visiting the hills around Benbulbin from the north - Benwiskin, Benbulbin, Kings Mountain, Truskmore, Tievebaun. The booking process was not the smoothest, but didn't cause any problems on arrival.

This is the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. It has a picturesque location, close to mountains and sea. It is located a few miles from Mullaghmore, Co. Sligo, which is my favourite spot on earth. The staff are some of the nicest people around. They couldn't do enough for me. The hostel is absolutely spotless. It also... More

This was possibly the eight or ninth time I've taken a group to Benwiskin. Once again it was one of our highlights.during our time in Ireland. After the long, long journey this is always an oasis of peace. We love being able to prepare our own meals, a great way to develop the "comunitas" of our pilgrim journey. The rooms... More

Quiet spot away from the city madness, very warm and comfortable with all the facilities. Only a short drive away from the shops, and some magnificent scenery on the doorstep. We were really grateful with the service provided to us as the manager meet us at a nearby town so we could follow her out. Not many people would do... More

We booked out the whole centre for our weekend course/retreat in March 2012, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The hall has a lovely open fire, the self-catering kitchen is well stocked, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful! There was a slight damp smell in my room but the staff helped with... More

Stayed here in March 09 and several times over last few years. Good as a stopping off point to visit various locations in south Donegal, Leitrim and North Sligo. Driving distance to the busy town of Bundoran for example. Easiest if you've got a car to get there as it's away from most major roads, although it seems to be... More

The four of us stayed at the Benwiskin Centre in early April for one night. We found the accommodation to be very good - very well stocked kitchen, lovely rooms and large common areas. We were really impressed to see the high level of recycling and sustainable practices that go on at the Centre - grey water systems, rubbish sorting... More
