My boyfriend and I decided to book a night away and The Bell at Eckington. We stayed on a Saturday night. We were welcomed by friendly staff before being shown to our room. We could not have asked for my more considering the price and the size of the establishment. The room suited our needs. That evening we ate in... More

I have been to the bell for valentines day two years in a row both times the food has been excellent and we had a lovely evening. They do a set menu for valentines day which is very nice food but as I am a vegetarian both times they have allowed me to choose my main from their usual main... More

Our stay could have been very good instead of average. The room was quite small and as we were the only guests a wow could have been to allocate a larger one. The bathroom was very cold with no heating which was compounded by the lack of any hot water in the morning. This was rectified after breakfast but was too late... More

We stayed here in late October and found everything to our taste. Some of the more derogatory comments mentioned in previous reviews seem to come from people who expected the services of a four star hotel in a major city in what is a country pub which serves very good food. The breakfasts were generous and cooked to order rather... More

We were a little disappointed at how small the room was - especially the bathroom but most of all we were horrified to be told to go to bed at 12 because the staff wanted to call it a night and they needed to lock us into the corridor that the rooms run off! That was the end of our... More

Many thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay with us here at The Bell, We are as advertised a pub with rooms not a hotel. We are not licenced to sell alcohol throughout the night so please except my apologies for not being able to serve you after 12.10am when your last bottle of wine was ordered... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as we had a wedding on the Saturday night. The Bell only has 4 rooms and we had paid for a Kingsize room and although we were a little disappointed at the lack of space getting in and out of the ensuite bathroom it was as promised "a home from home" feel, relaxed, comfortable... Good menu and well cooked food but living in the past with hot stone cooking. Not worthwhile and why should I spend money going out and cooking myself? Throw away the stones and use your chefs more. Normal food is actually quite good

Varied menu, good quality food and decent choice of real ales. The place was busy when we visited (on a Sunday around 3pm) but service was decent, and we all really enjoyed the food. Good value too, would definitely come back.

We were cruising on the Avon and had moored by the ancient Eckington bridge. The village and pub are just a half mile walk away. The pub is smart, clean and stylish, with a large dining area, lounge, garden, and a more traditional bar (the Farmers Bar - dogs allowed). We ate in the Farmers Bar, as we had a... More
