This campground is located approx 30 mins away from Bar Harbor and the most popular Acadia attractions (Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Sandy Beach). It is probably not the place to stay if you want to be closer to these places. Across the street is a nice area along the beach for walking and just down the street is a cute... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 7 days. The campsites are relatively private and most tent sites require parking in lot and walking several hundred feet to site. Wheelbarrows are provided for toting gear. There are no showers and sea wall store nearby has showers (and the best blueberry pie I've ever had ...then they have fresh fish chowder).... More

A stunningly beautiful campground. Very friendly park rangers & volunteers, and very considerate fellow campers who abided by the park rules of 10 pm - 8 am quiet hours. I think this was the first time we've ever been in a campground in which everyone was respectful of everyone else's privacy and need for rest. As you slept, you could... More

My experience at this campground was great! the bathrooms were clean and our site was just big enough to pitch a 4-person dome. While this area is farther away from the tourist-filled bar harbor and most of the Acadia trails, it is difficult to get to those areas with a car (approximately 30 min. drive to bar harbor). The surrounding... More

This campground is a clean and friendly atmosphere and a bit on the quiet side. It did surprise me to see most campers in bed by 10:00 PM. Most nights only us a few other sites would have a fire going after 10:00. I found this to be a bit strange, but I'm from Michigan so maybe it's just that... More

You have two choices of national park campgrounds in Acadia. For remoteness, seawall campground is is! We backed our pop up camper into a site in May and had a great visit. The sites are nestled back from the road and there are wooded buffers between sites that offer a bit more privacy than your typical camp site. No, there... More

My hasband and I have stayed at Blackwall in the past, but decided to try Seawall this time. We opted for a site that was set back, so we had to walk a little to get to our site. There wad hardly a soul there midweek, the week after Labor Day. It was great! My only complaint would be that... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in august with 2 couples. I should start off by saying that the layout here is pretty typical for drive-up, state park camping - meaning the sites are somewhat close together, but generally people respect that everyone is there for a little solitude and we very much felt like we had privacy (they also have... Excellent place for rest...Nice quiet campground away from touristic spots at south end of the island. Got there without reservation at 11 am on friday July 1st. Many places were still available. Lot of space on each site. Full shade. Some sites were too close together specially in the center of loops. Rangers are nice and welcoming. Saw some deers... More

I would give this campground five stars, but gave it four only for lacking showers. It's a great location. A previous reviewer mentioned it was too far away from the main area of the park and Bar Harbor. I preferred being removed from the crowds actually. The actual Seawall is a stunning landscape. My husband and I camped in the... More
