Talk about pigpen! Boca Chita is far worse then Elliott Key. I've camped at both and will never return to Boca Chita. Bathrooms were horrendous and the music blasting from the various boats and stereos didn't stop until 2AM. Elliott Key is bad for mosquitoes and racoons but so are the rest of the keys. We had to take a vendor-provided boat to get us and our kayak out there ($128 round trip for us and the 'yak). Dirty bathrooms, bad tasting drinking water, filthy campsites (you're supposed to pack out your trash, but no one's doing a good job of it), super-aggressive raccoons, and big mosquito and no-see-ums population (in February!).
