I stayed 3 nights and have enjoyed my stay here. The log cabin was awesome. It was so comfortable like a home. The kitchen has full facilities and big. There is a big dinning table. Beside all the log cabins there is a beautiful, clear creek running beside. You can sit by the creek and enjoyed the water or even... More

You have look out carefully for the turn-off into the hostel. It's marked with a sign 'hostel' and 2 red cones. We booked the ice worm cabin which was cozy. Check-in was quick and the staff is friendly and helpful. The portable heater was working very well at heating up the room. The bed was comfortable and the view of... More

Hi and thanks for the great review! We're happy to hear you had a warm and comfortable stay. A word about our sign- our original one blew down in high winds last fall. We have new ones painted and ready to go up just as soon as our contractor has time! For now, you're right, you do have to be... More

I stayed there 3nights, one night at private tent, two nights at dorm. It's a little far away from the park. But there is shuttle bus and it was nice view when I was going there, so it's not a big problem. The tent was actually cold at night for me (even it was my first time to sleep outside)... More

Greetings and thanks for another great review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and that you chose Denali Mountain Morning Hostel for your first overnight adventure in a tent! Way to go! It can definitely get a bit chilly at night in Alaska, but we do supply our tents with zero-degree sleeping bags, and we also... More

My wife and I spent three nights here recently. I enjoyed our cozy cabin next to the river and fire. Common area is nice with a good size well maintained kitchen and bathrooms. They have a shower house area with a couple private shower bathrooms along with two private showers. They were clean and heated. Only negative was it is... More

We stayed in the razorback for two nights. I realize that the weather caused many problems for the opening of MMH, but it sure would have been nice if the path to the octagon room had been better prepared. It was like walking on a sheet of ice to get to the bathroom.... some cinders would have helped with the... More

Hello Patty; Thanks for your comments. We have taken them under consideration. Start up this year was very difficult for us. Our April was more like our usual February/March with regard to temperature. In fact, it was the coldest April on record so we had a lot of drainage/freezing /snow/ice issues to deal with when you stayed. Our first real... More

My family of four: two adults and two older kids stayed in Denali Mountain Morning Hostel on our summer visit to Denali. We absolutely loved our experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone. Our cabin "Two Rocks" was very comfortable and clean. "Octagon" - the main dorm and kitchen/common room was right next door as were the showers/restrooms.... More

Hello and thanks for the review! We are so happy to hear that you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Two Rocks Cabin is one of the best for our larger families- very spacious and as you mentioned, right next to our common area (the Octagon) and shower facilities. We also have another great cabin, the Coffee Grinder, that... More

I loved the layout of this hostel. All the little cabins everywhere the fire pit by the river. I stayed in the dorm in the main building. I found it to be clean & tidy. The shower was amazing, better than the one I have at home. The staff were very helpful & kind. Cause I was only there a... More

Wow, what a place!!! We loved staying here. We had a gorgeous rustic, timber cabin amongst the trees right next to a stream (the Iceworm Cabin). We only had a bed, no toilet or bathroom, but the location made that easy to deal with!! The shared facilities were a 1min walk away, they were very clean and there was enough... More

I traveled alone to Denali National Park for an end of summer in Alaska experience. I wanted to see wildlife, the "High One" at least once, and hike. Although, I considered camping, I passed. Can not say enough about this hostel, the kitchen was the best I have ever seen, spotless, well equipped, 2 stoves,, sinks, refridgerators. The adjoining lcommon area was comfortable and clean, they ask you remove your shoes so even the floors are clean.
