I stayed here years ago and it was a bit old. hey must have renovated recently and what a great job. Great natural colours, good spot, reasonable price and very clean. I was very impressed with the room from the inside. More

We stayed there early Feb and got the winter rate of $85/night. It's old and basic but reasonably clean. The South side is a shorter walk to the Cafeteria. I highly recommend that you NOT go to the cafeteria for food. If you're short on time or are dead tired and just wanna grab a quick bite to eat then... More

rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable - and we got a good price. It was definately worth staying in the national park so you can get up early and walk along the rim (5 minutes away). I wouldnt like to stay in one of the places along the rim itself - you get crowds of people walking past your... More

Returning from a conference in Arizona I decided to detour on my way home to see the Grand Canyon. I came across a special winter rate for this lodge. The check in staff where very friendly and took 10 minutes to show us the best places to catch the sunrise. The rooms are simple but clean. Location is great. More

This is the second time I've stayed at the Maswik Lodge. The first time was 2 years ago February. The lodge appears to be under new management and using fewer staff. I stayed with my wife in a south room. The rate quoted was $92. It was negotiable when paid in cash. Desk people were definitely NOT the friendliest I... More

We decided to go there as there was nothing else available and we booked quite late. The room we were given was not clean when we walked in which is a bit unusual given that the people before us clearly left it in a rather ugly state. The other room was ok but not great and is a bit far... More

Just being in the Park means prices are up, so you can't do a direct comparison with 'similar' hotels. Probably the best value inside the Park, because it's not on the rim which attracts a further premium. Just seen other reviews which referred to it being 'a minutes drive away from the rim', and 'driving to the main lobby from... More

A glorified, over-priced motel. Adequate room with leaky sink and weak toilet. Old tube TV (but why are watching TV anyway?) The worst thing here is the cafeteria. Overpriced, stale offerings, and a breakfast burrito that simply will not sit well in your stomach. But at the end of the day, if you're not camping, this is the only way... More

With Maswik Lodge, you're right in the heart of the the South Rim part of the GC national park. Just a minutes drive and you're right at the canyon. Rooms are basic but just what you need, lets face it, you dont come to the Canyon to spend time in the room. Personally, I'd rather stay in Tusayan where theres... More

If you want to stay in the Canyon, this is the cheapest hotel to stay in. Overall the rooms are good, not luxurious, but good enough for a couple nights. Considering the lack of AC during the summer, the temperature inside the room was pretty comfortable. We stay the last week of June and it was fine. More
