Jenny Lake Campground fills up before any other campground in the park. It is over populated and you are too close to the next group. On the other hand, most of the improved camps are pretty much full in Teton Park during the summer. Be adventurous and back pack into the woods aways and enjoy nature.

We arrived by 6:00 a.m. because we wanted to have a spot in Jenny Lake. We drove through to look at the sites that would be opening up. We were fortunate to have the very nice occupants of site #47, arguably the site with the best view in the campground, let us hang our tag and come back later to... More

The views of the Tetons are spectacular - the campground is practically on top of them. One caveat: when we went there, there were many forest fires in the surrounding states, and the air was a bit choking and the views somewhat obscured. Check before you go.

Jenny Lake is one of our favorite camping locations because of its close proximity to everything we love about Grand Teton National Park. The campground is undergoing some repairs -- and I hope they include improving the bathrooms. They're old and nasty. But the sites are great for tent camping, and every time we've camped there it seems to be... More

I camped here with my son in July of 2012 for two nights and it was wonderful. Walking distance from the Jenny Lake Visitor Center and trailhead. Campground hosts were friendly as were all the other folks we met there. Huge buck elk wandered through our site as we were setting up camp. The evening Ranger talks were fun too.... More

2nd trip to Tetons - nice campground, stayed 4 or 5 nights. First day was a litte stressful, first come first served - many sites with a nice view of the tetons. We had one. The first night at 2:30 am some guy was drunk yelling about wanting his keys to take a drive. The managers took care of him... More

We lucked out and found a site at 9am, last one available. It was in the inside just past a curve (26?). The tent pad was up a small hill, the picnic table and bear locker was down below. No other tents near us. The down sides? Traffic sounds early as people are cruising looking for sites, longish walk to... More

Your in a national park so it is what it is. It's not the Quetico. The place is spread around good so you feel like your in the woods so it's really nice. Drove through the day before and saw a giant buck elk at site #16 so when it was empty we took it. Every morning I heard something... More

This was a nice woodsy location for tent camping only. It is nice to avoid the RV parks where tents are wedged in among mostly RVs, but we were still in that RV Park frame of mind when choosing our site. There is water and restrooms, but notice where they are before you get a spot. We have kids (11,... More

This campground was terrific! We arrived on a Sunday around 10:30a and were lucky enough to find site #39 available. In my opinion, this is the one of the best sites in the entire campground. It had extra privacy away from the road and did not have other campers close by. There was a little "reading nook" next to the... More
