If you can possibly help it, don't go to Zion during spring break. The busses were standing room only, the trails were more like negotiating subway lines in NYC and the campground was incredibly noisy. We had a group site within 10 feet with 3 gigantic trailers. We were in a car tent but wanted electric because of cold nights.... More

Since most National Park campgrounds pack you in like sardines and you can smell your neighbor's beer breath, this was a pleasant surprise. If you are a tent camper I recommend staying in the tent only loops (C/D). The spacing is decent and the views are fantastic if you pick the right site. The facilities are fairly new and the... More

This is a good tent campsite. It was full when we arrived there but our reservation was made a week ago so our space was waiting. After almost 3 hours driving we were ready to eat and rest. My friend started cooking and the others working on the tents, we had 2 of them. The restrooms are very clean and... More

Spent 2 nights car camping at the Watchman campground. We had adjoining sites D29 and D31 on the outside ring of loop D. Great sites, with some privacy. Sites were very well maintained and the restrooms looked pretty new. Easy walk to the shuttle buses. Camp Hosts were very friendly. Make sure to go to the top of Angels Landing... More

Not for crowds of young people who want to make noise (this is Utah). Campsite is fairly quite with lots of families and large groups that are early to bed and early to rise. No showers but wash rooms are clean and soap and hand dryers are available.

We went to Zion and camped in the watchman campsites. This was our second time and both times were fun. The campsites are large and not on top of each other and the bathrooms were clean. Not much more we need. The campground was very quiet and mostly rvs. It's a bit cold at night over spring break. It also... More

Watchman Campground is conveniently located near Springdale and Zion Canyon. On top of that, the view from the campground is great. However, the sites are far from secluded and are arranged in a fairly compact manner. Noise from other sites is ever present. Overall, I would recommend this campground as a base camp for exploring Zion.

Zion National Park is a pretty place. It reminds me of Marble Canyon of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park. Of course, the only way to get to the bottom of Marble Canyon is to hike some darn tough trails for the better part of a day or commit to being on a raft for at least 5... More

i caen in at dark worried that maybe I would be out of luck but even with only two loops open I had the run of the place. Spectacular place to wake up to. I picked a campsite away from the river with a clear view of the sky for my telescope. Súper.

We were here in December, so it was freezing cold, and we were almost alone. This camp site was the cheapest we were in on this trip (only 18$ per night), and possibly the most beautiful, as it is right inside the park, surrounded by the beautiful canyon that is Zion national Park. Pros: - Views. Beautiful doesnt do it... More
