Stayed there the 19-22nd of april, it gets very cold there when you have a unlucky coldfront go through. The beach was nice and not crowded, pretty but surf was very rough that weekend. Camps were quaint but highly doable. The drive into the park takes 15-17mins if you like to travel around the town it's one hell of a... More

My husband and I stayed a week in April and enjoyed the campground. Sites are a little small, but there do seem to be plenty of big sites for the big rigs. Rangers and campground hosts are all very friendly. They are pretty strict on leash laws for dogs, so I guess that's mostly good for all concerned. I did... More

We were camping here for 3 nights along with all my friends. Place was good and have absolutely no complaints. Worth staying. Beach location was awesome. I even loved the drive way. We totally had complete fun. Good place to hangout with friends and family.

We have raised our 3 girls visiting fort pickens and now they have children of their own that can't wait to go to the beach every summer. we have done everything that can be done in the park and always enjoy our time there. The lack of trees everyone is complaining about is due to the hurricanes in the past... More

Have camped here for the past 5 years. Love the natural setting & I really appreciate this place. It's a treasure. Could the bath houses use an update? Absolutely. I don't come here for the bathroom & shower facilities. They are thoroughly cleaned every day. With all the financial cuts in this country, I'm just thankful we still have national... More

This was once a state park so it has elec and water and paving at each site, even though it is now Federal. However, it is not very well maintained. The sites are small and bigger rigs were having a terrible time getting set up. No room for toads or tow vehicles which were parked elsewhere. Examine sites carefully before... More

Earthsinger93 doesn't sound like a so called earth singer.....sounds like a hotel kind of person. If you want a prissy clean bathroom should've gone to the Hilton. I have been camping at Fort Pickens since I was in the womb. Every summer many weeks was spent here. The park has seen some changes as so many hurricanes have battered it... More

Dated, small sites, not very tidy, wide open, no shade or privacy, the shower and restroom facilities are very dated and weren't clean. I can deal with old and dated if they are clean! Actually, they were so grungy looking and feeling, I waited until the next afternoon to shower when I checked into the next place on my trip.... More

We stayed just one night at the Fort Pickens campground during Feb. The grounds were nice. Most of the lots were more for rvs, but there was one loop that was more geared towards tent campers. We stayed in a tent on loop b. Pretty much every lot was close to a bathroom so dont worry about that. Campground is... More
