The room was bland and clean. The view from our window was a weedy hill. We should have requested a room on the bay but when we arrived there was no one in the office. They put a note on the door and left the room open. The desk clerk was very helpful the next day when we asked about... More

Although the cottage & ocean view was lovely, the cost of $160/night for a family of four was too much for the little amenities offered. There was no restaurant (although their website boasts of it), no convenience store & internet connection was not available at our cottage. The master bedroom was small & the small double bed was uncomfortable. There... More

This was our only bad experience in Newfoundland. We booked this location based on their internet site and reviews. The reviews that we saw and those printed in the cabin guidebook happened to be several years old and the website is horribly outdated. We were promised an amazing restaurant on site, ( the website talks about it prominently) . The... More

Made a last minute decision to spend a final night in Newfoundland south of St John's and was comfortably accomodated at the Celtic Cottages, I was given one of the cottage son the bluff with one of the most stunning vistas in a province loaded with beautiful views. The cottage was immaculate and seemingly modern with anything one could want.... More

We travelled to NFLD with another couple in June 2011. We couldn't have picked a better home base for daily excursions around the Avalon Penninsula. Cabins were exceptionally clean (by the friendliest lady who accommodated our every need) and the grounds were immaculate. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and watched Minke whales cruise through the cove,... More

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin which is very spacious and the view absolutely spectacular. However, we did expect the cabin to be clean which it was not. Crumbs/dust/hair remained on the table and floor from the previous guests. Towels were dingy and the bedding was very poor. Their website advertises Mickey Broad's Cafe and for that reason we... I have just returned from my first trip to Newfoundland with 3 workmates where we were attending a work congress in St. John's. We took some extra time after and drove to the Bay Bulls area where we had booked 2 nights at Celtic Rendezvous Cottages. What a treat! We had a two bedroom cottage right on the water and... More

Our first trip to Newfoundland and we could not have found a more perfect spot. Beautiful ocean views through the livingroom window. We saw dolphins right below our deck. The cottage was spacious and the most immaculately clean place I've ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and the epitome of Newfoundlander hospitality. We were traveling with our 2 Newfoundland... We stayed in one of the "efficiency units" because the cottages were fully booked and I was surprised at how much room we had (we were only two people). The units appear to have been constructed only recently, and were spotless. The view from the deck was breathtaking- we went on a whale spotting tour but didn't see any whales... More

This was our first trip to Newfoundland and having survived the ferry ride ( high winds made for a very unpleasant night crossing) we made the drive across Newfoundland to Tors Cove. I cannot say enough about the facilities or the staff at Celtic Rendezvous Cottages. We checked in at the office which is also home to their small cafe... More
