Within minutes of our arrival my partner managed to spill tea all over himself. Carol immediately offered to wash his clothes and they were returned the next day beautifully ironed! This act of kindness completely sums up the ethos of the Old Rectory. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is perfect.

This is the best B&B I have had the pleasure of staying in. The owners, Chris and Carol show superb attention to detail without being intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was excellent, very clean and well appointed. Our breakfast was excellent great sausages and everything cooked to perfection. It is worth visiting just for the... More

We booked this B & B as we were attending a wedding reception closeby so had no idea what we were booking. We were blown away by the warm welcome from carole, who greeted us with afternoon tea and cake. The rooms are beautiful with fluffy towelling robes and lovely views of the gardens. As it was a sunny day... More

This establishment is at the very top end of the Bed and Breakfast market, and will appeal to the guest who wants comfort, cleanliness and service. At £39 per person per night, it is more expensive than most, but we found it well worth the extra expense. The Old Rectory is late Georgian or early Victorian, and is full of... More

We stayed here on 24th March 2011 - our first trip to Suffolk. There is not a lot of accommodation in Kessingland, but we would have chosen this B&B wherever it was! Such a beautiful house and such welcoming and friendly hosts. There was everything we needed in the room and spacious bathroom, plus all the nice little touches we... More

We stayed her while in Suffolk for a funeral and I can't speak highly enough of this bed and breakfast, which is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The house itself is beautiful and the gardens magnificent. The breakfast was well cooked and served in the lovely breakfast room overlooking the gardens; there was plenty of choice,... More

We stayed for a night at The Old Rectory, and as the title of the review states, we wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in August 2010 and the room cost £94 per night including breakfast. We got a warm welcome from Chris upon our arrival and then we were shown to a elegant, spacious room (room 1).... More

We stayed at the Old Rectory B&B as a special treat, a little get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. We really were in for a treat. We received a very warm welcome from Chris and Carole, nothing was too much trouble. We have cream teas in the beautiful gardens before going to our room which was luxurious and... More
