Your review had such a cool style I though I'd write my response as a Haiku: A road not travelled. The sun and beach so divine. Redwood stole my heart! Thanks for a fabulous visit and we hope to see you soon.

A slice of heaven on a stunning beach in Northwest Nicaragua. Hosts and Owners Mike and Stacy whom have been running the resort for 18 years could not have been more accommodating! Enjoyed Surfing, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Fishing, and Climbing Volcan Cosiguina. Francis prepared 3 great meals a day. Ramon makes sure that coffee is ready nice and early. And also that the grounds of the resort are beautifully manicured. Mauricio the Surfing Instructor will have you riding the waves in no time. Did not see a cloud all week. 90 degrees every day. I highly recommend that you visit the Redwood Beach Resort.

I visited RBR with my wife and kids and we had a blast. Stacy and Mike were very attentive hosts any time I needed anything or had any concerns. We stayed in the little hill Casita which had a small fridge and an outdoor kitchen. It was great to have that flexibility because you know kids are with meals. The meals that were prepared by the the resort were top notch dining. Far better than anything that's available locally. Within walking distance there's some pulperías and little food stands which is very convenient. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. There was a party in the village one of the nights, but the music wasn't even that loud because the resort is on the edge of the village.

Our family enjoyed an amazing evening at Redwood Beach Resort. The food was fresh, delicious and perfectly prepared. The owners were extremely nice and informative about the beautiful secluded beach and their very remote area of Nicaragua. We viewed the accommodations and they are very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The grounds are well kept and gorgeous. It is quite a trip from the capital of Managua to the small fishing village of Mechapa and well worth the journey. We will return and spend a relaxing extended vacation soon!

My first thought when my partner booked this was that it was too far of a drive from the international airport in managua. After arriving at the redwood after only 3.5 hours of a lovely drive I realized that on other vacations I had spent 10x more time on a plane, 5x more time on a bus or other horrible transportation. And this was worth the ride. No waiting in line for buffet food, no searching for the last beach chair only to find out it costs a ton of money. Nothing really! This beach is paradise. The cabanas are charming and comfortable, they are right on the beach so you always have a beautiful view from your hammock in front of the cabana. The restaurant posts it’s menu every morning based on whatever is the freshest in the area, but it’s always prepared with loving hands in healthy fresh interesting ways, so you don’t feel like you’re eating the same things over and over again. I’ve been here 4 times! Each time I’ve found different types of people. Families with small children, couples, solo travellers, and people spending the night just to do some adventure activities around the hotel. It’s hard to explain how quickly you feel comfortable and at home here!! Can’t wait to go back!!…

my husband and i stayed at Redwood for 2 nights early december 2022. To say this was easily one of the most relaxing vacations is an understatement. Stacy, the owner, instantly becomes your best friend sharing amazing stories and making sure we are well fed. Ramon and Lupe were so nice and their service was top notch. Redwood is a place you come to relax, enjoy the breathtaking views and sunsets, swim in the surprisingly very warm water, surf (waves for all levels, perfect for beginners and depending on the swell perfect for the experienced who want no crowds) and eat local meals. The room was cozy and clean and all are beachfront cottages. The road to redwood was in perfect condition except for the last 5-10 km ( i recommend an suv or truck or going reaaaaallll slow) BUT i saw workers everyday working on the roads. WeAlso explored and went to Volcán Cosigüina , a definite must!!! definitely recommend and double definitely we’re going back next year. …

This was my second week long stay at Redwood. The owners are attentive, delightful and knowledgeable of the surroundings and so willing to do whatever is needed to make your stay amazing. All of the staff are wonderful as well. Perfect scenery, off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Once you are there, you never want to leave.

We had a wonderful stay at Redwood everywhere you turn is beautiful. The cabins are comfortable with lots of space to set bags and luggage and nice bathrooms. Outside there are endless places to swing in a hammock, relax in a rocking chair and hang out as a group or on your own. The food is yummy and as fresh as it gets. The beach is amazing and so close the sound of the waves will put you to sleep every night. This is a great place to relax and have quite or fun time with family or friends.
