Casa Humberto is a beautiful refuge within the tumultuous Old Havana. Steps away from Obispo street -- Hemingway's old stomping grounds (ambos mundos, el floridita, sloppy joes, plaza de San Francisco etc.) -- and located steps from Park Central and also the Malecon; we were at first overwhelmed with life on the streets, but literally within minutes of being there... Casa Humberto, is not a typical casa with just one bedroom. There are three rooms and a small house on the roof top for rent. The house on the rooftop is very charming, but during our stay there was no hot water in that room. When we traveled back home, we stayed one more night in one of the other... More

We stayed for one week in Casa Humberto with our 3 children in April 2012. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with a warm dinner by our welcoming hosts. The breakfast was always very good, with plenty of fresh fruits. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, a bit further away... More

We stayed in the roof bedroom- it was bright, cosy and nicely decorated. It was also very private and got great views of Havana's rooftops. Cleanliness was fantastic in both the room and the en-suite. Only issue was that the water pressure must have been quite low because we had issues flushing the toilet sometimes. That said, relative to almost... More

To be honest, I was looking forward to staying at Casa Humberto because of the reviews online, but it ended up being my least favorite of the 4 different casas I stayed at in Cuba. A lot of it had to do with the room we stayed in. From the pictures online, the 3 rooms on the terrace look really... More

I have chosen Casa Humberto for my HoneyMoon reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and I did not wrong. It is very difficult to decide what is the best way to describe our experience because everything was simply perfect, so I think the beginning would be the best... First of all is the only place in the entire Havana with a... More

As Humberto does not speak English or very little, his wife, Miladys deals with guests who don't know Spanish almost all the time. She is a very warm person who is also an excellent businesswoman clear in prices and able to give good tips about security on the streets, places to see and correct prices of transport around Havana. Their... More
