The first 2 nights of our 3 week journey through Cuba we stayed in de Saratoga hotel. We had a spacious room on the 6th floor, on the inside of the hotel. Not the best view, but it's a quiet room. The wifi worked well and was free, something that proved to be an exception seen the rest of the... More

The hotel is ideally situated near the capitol and has a great rooftop pool/bar and decent restaurant. Rooms on the main thoroughfare are a little noisy and wifi is spotty. The place has been recently renovated and has relatively decent service. Beds are ok - but fluffy down pillows would be nice rather than the foam rubber thingie I had.... More

Based on reviews of Trip Advisor, we had requested our travel agent to book a junior suite on higher floors, 4th floor and above. To our dismay, we were assigned room 217. True to reviews, the 2nd floor was dismal. The smell of "oldness" was prevailing. The room itself, although nicely done, had only foot high windows. Despite tropical highs... More

We checked in to room 208 and the smell of mold was overwhelming. After two nights our wonderful tour leader was able to get us moved to another room after being told by the front desk staff that there were no other rooms available. The mezzanine bar was lovely and the servers there were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet... More

We stayed here in April 2013 for 4 nights. The hotel is in an excellent location in Havana, within easy walk of the Old Town and the sea front. Our room was the standard room for the hotel, but was still an excellent size, with a lovely large bathroom. We had a room that looked into the internal courtyard so... More

This Hotel is located across from the Capitolio. It is very beautiful and well appointed on the inside. We were there in the Prado Suite, which is a huge room and was a bit of an indulgence, but I peeked in other rooms and they looked similar. Certainly up to the standards that you'd expect from a smallish hotel in... More

We stayed at the Saratoga for 2 nights before heading off to Varadero, and we really wished we had stayed longer! We had a fantastic room overlooking the Capitolio, with a four poster bed and luxurious, clean bathroom with a huge monsoon shower! The room was clean and nice, and the food at this hotel was the best we found... More

Stayed for 3 nights in December 2012 before going to Varadero. Lovely hotel, feels "olde worlde" but is apparently only 7 years old. Had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the bar area but it was very spacious and the bathroom was amazing! Very happy with our stay and enjoyed sipping Mojitos at the rooftop bar and... The Saratoga is Lonely Planet's pick as one of Downtown Havana's "newest ritziest and most dramatic hotels". We stayed in room 104 for five nights. Facing the busy Prado thoughfare with views across to the Capitolio, it was noisy, although solid wood panelled doors could be secured across the windows. There was plenty of room, a comfortable bed, very pleasant... More
