I've been in a goodly few B&Bs over the past 40 years or so, but this one came as a surprise. There's Good, there's Very Good, there's Incredibly Good, there's Outstandingly Good and then there's Hafan Deg. Never have I been made to feel so welcome, the family were really lovely (especially 3-year old Darcy), and the coffee with biscuits... More

We have just spent the most relaxing couple of nights at this B&B. We had a comfortable and well equipped room with the most beautiful moutain views. The breakfasts were delicious using local Welsh produce and our landlady Cat a mine of information on local attractions and events. The local beer festival was a particular favourite. A very welcoming B&B and... More

What a fabulous B&B really enjoyed our stay. The big plus is that it is dog friendly and even includes an enclosed garden. Cat was very warm & friendly and even booked us into a local dog friendly pub for evening meal so our dog Tilly could spend the whole holiday with us. The room and facilities excellent. The breakfast... More

I've stayed in many B&B / hotel over the years and I have to say that this was one of the best! The location, property and views are stunning. The room we stayed in was large and had everything we needed, including a huge (extremely comfy) bed, a private bathroom, a separate seating area, kettle, tea, TV etc. The under... More

I was working in north Wales during the worst weather in decades. I found this very reasonably priced B&B online and was glad I did so. I had looked at hotels on the St Asaph and Rhuddlan areas which were under water the next day. The welcome from the Landlady Cat and family was as warm as the underfloor heating... More

This was my first ever B&B and WOW I'm converted!! Such a warm welcome as soon as you arrive - we were served hot buttered tea-cakes infront of the roaring fire within minutes of arriving and such lovely hospitality. Its situated in a beautiful rural location & there is also a quaint little pub 'The Miners Arms' literally within 2 minutes... My wife and I have just got married but because of work commitments we can't go on honeymoon until next year. So we decided to have a "mini-moon" instead! We came to North Wales because we wanted to see some friends who were performing at Theatr Clwyd. Hafan Deg was recommended to us and we couldn't have asked for more.... More

We stayed three nights at Hafan Deg from 3 - 7 October, having booked with the previous owners. The enthusiastic new owners could not have been more helpful and are clearly carrying on the hospitable traditions of their predecessors. Hafen Deg is a peaceful place to stay in lovely surroundings - well worth breaking a journey to or from Snowdonia... More

Stayed in Hafan Deg for a weekend in the tiny village of Maeshafn in the Clywdian Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The welcome was very warm and friendly, the rooms spacious and comfortable and overall we had a very pleasant stay. There are plenty of walks in the area and some stunning views. We ate in the Druids... More

Had a great stay at Hafan Deg, amazing location - stunning views over the valley, and easy access to all the nearby parks including Loggershead, but only a 2 minute walk to the local Miners Arms pub in the tiny village of Maeshafn. Very comfortable room with a huge cosy bed, struggled to get up for the 4 course breakfast... More
