Peaceful is almost an understatement...it is so quiet and serene here you have to ask yourself if it is real. I stayed in the Anolis cabin which had a great view across the mountains and into the sea. I laid in the hammock for a few hours listening to nothing at all except the sounds of birds...so relaxing. If you... More

We went there with some friends to spend two days on Saba. Saba is a great place for hiking. The Ecolodge is perfectly located to climb the Mount Scenery. The food was also great. They use fresh products and you taste it. The village is about 20 minutes away from the Ecolodge even though they tell you it's 5 minutes...... More

We chose The Ecolodge for a couple of reasons, 1st it is an Ecolodge and the name Ecolodge should be an indication of what you should expect. They are are trying to minimize their footprint on the planet. If you think of it in this manner you have the explanation for a lot of the issues pointed out in prior... More

We stayed at Ecolodge from May 14 till May 25. Ecolodge is about 30 min steep and slippery path through the forest from Windwardside or you can take the road. If at Ecolodge you should either take a taxi to Windwardside or walk. There is nothing else in the close vicinity. There are several cabins in a nice and beautiful... More

Most disgusting hotel I've ever been to. We spent 10 minutes in the room before leaving. They keep the cabin doors open during the day so any animals seeking shelter enter the cabin at their leisure. We got, mice (in the bed), bats, birds and LOADS of insects and mosquitos. The bathrooms were dank and crawling with bugs are they... More

Holiday from hell! The family who owns it was ok until they had their day off and there was no one to contact and we were the only guests in the area. The Ecolodge is a 30 min walk from the village so if something happens you are on your own. We couldn't get the hotwatertub or the electricity to... More

We had booked a week at an all-inclusive in St. Maarten and since we got such a good deal, decided to do a side trip to Saba. The Ecolodge is the exact opposite of a resort - no manicured beaches, no traffic, no loud drunken parties. This is the jungle and the Ecolodge understands the best way to be in... More

The people were helpful, interesting and down-right friendly. Our unit was so quaint decorated with island themes and clean. Our unit even had a small hottub. I slept like a baby with the sounds of the rain forest all around. The restaurant was yummy. Try the red curry coconut shrimp! Delish! I'll definitely go back! Don't expect the lap of... More

This place is perfect for a small group looking to experience nature. I went there with a school group and absolutely loved it. The cabins are nice and clean, and looking out the windows make you feel like you're right in the middle of the rain forest! It's wonderful. The staff is friendly and very accommodating as well. We have stayed at the Ecolodge on numerous occassions and can not wait to return. The minute the taxi drops you off at the end of the road, you ARE in the middle of the rain forest! The fresh air, the birds, the wind through the tree tops... it's just magical! We call it our "oxygen overdose". The cottages at... More
