Just returned from a week at the Bitter End. The beach front villa up on the hill was perfect. We had a wrap around deck with 2 lounges chairs and a hammock. The view was unparalled. We didn't know that we had the all inclusive option but we did have breakfast included and as we are an older couple the use of all the boats was not a concern. The main dining room is pricey... We went to Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda for our honeymoon after a Puerto Rico wedding, and were not sure what to expect. People had strongly recommended the island and we had seen good reviews for this property on TripAdvisor, but we had no real way to gauge the quality. If you are hoping for a romantic getaway and have saved up some money for a nice trip, we highly recommend this place.... More

This resort has lots to offer and caters to the adventurous person who likes to kayak, sail, snorkel and scuba dive. On their 7 day package they include all kinds of excursions - to the Baths, Anagada, sunset sails, etc that are a lot of fun. Of course at this resort you can be as active or laid back as you like. The scuba diving surpassed our expectations with sensational dives led by Ben and... More

Our trip to the BEYC in Virgin Gorda was absolutely perfect! We stayed the first week of December, 2011 and would reccommend this time of year to anyone. There were no crowds anywhere on the island but everything was open in preparation for the busy Holiday season. We stayed in a garden view villa and loved it. The rooms had such an "islandy, caribbean" feel with the natural wood floors, screened windows with wooden shutters,... More

We spent five days here and absolutely loved it. It's a totally relaxing and beautiful environment like you'd hope for on a Caribbean vacation, but full of opportunities to explore and stay active if you choose. Our days generally consisted of a delicious breakfast overlooking the water or a morning scuba dive followed by an afternoon of napping and reading on the beach before heading back to the room for showers and pre-dinner sunset cocktails... My family (husband, 2 teenage daughters and me) has spent the past 2 Christmases at The Bitter End. Although we have had a fantastic time, both times, and we LOVE the Bitter End - it is not the place for everyone. We take advantage of using the whalers, the Lasers, the Hobis, the paddleboards, we hike and we go on many of the excursions. We use the beach a bit and never use the pool.... More

The Bitter End is always great whether you are visiting on a boat or staying in the rooms. The property is a long stretch of land with beaches, docks, places to chill. The rooms are West Indie bungalows up on the hill. The food is great - you'll need to make reservations. I strongly advise seeing everything the North Sound harbor has to offer - Saba rock, Prickly Pear, Leverick Bay, the Fat Virgin (for... More

We were looking for a place with lots of wind AND scuba diving, which can be a hard combination. This is the answer! Bitter End is hard to get to, but worth the trip. The rooms are breezy and lovely. The food is delicious, healthy, and not overdone. Just right for the beach. The list of things to do is amazing. You won't be able to do it all in a week. And there is... More

Bitter end yacht club is truly beautiful and if you consider that the super expensive island get away of Necker Isand is just a stones throw away, actually makes it seem like good value. The staff are very friendly and with help from all the amenities and of course beautiful beaches, this resort gets top marks from me. I always love it when I end up back there. Note to the yachtsmen and women, the... More

Follow up on my prior review: I just noted BEYC is rated #2 hotel on North Sound. If you choose one over the other based on the numerical ranking you will be making a mistake. The places have two different personalities. Bitter End Yacht Club is a big friendly place with plenty of activities, and plenty of kids. It’s a relaxed, laid back (upscale) family resort. No need for a jacket or tie - kind... More
