My boyfriend and I stayed at the Shangri-La B&B first half of January. We wanted to stay at a B&B because we appreciate different cuisine and cultures of different islands. Upon arrival we were picked up by Brian, our taxi guy for the rest of the week - truly a great man, that offers a better deal than the typical... More

The first thing to know is that the “innkeepers” identified on the website - George and Eileen – aren’t the innkeepers any more. I would eventually figure out that the people running the place day-to-day are George’s parents. This made for some initial confusion. Here’s what we liked. This is a quiet rural/residential spot (quiet except for the roosters across... More

My husband and I stayed at this B&B in December. Let me start off by saying that we generally prefer hotels or rentals over B&B's. We chose to stay at the Shangri-La given the numerous wonderful comments posted on TripAdvisor. We give this B&B an average rating because although George and Maureen were nice and available, we thought they were... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying two weeks at this wonderful B&B on our first trip to the Grand Cayman. The hosts George and Maureen when out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and couldn't be more helpful in every way.The Gourmet breakfasts each morning, prepared by Maureen, were very delicious and everday successed the day before.... Shangri-la B & B the best of its kind on the island and beyond! If you want to stay in a charming location away from the busy strip, then this B & B is for you. Shangri-la is located on West Bay and minutes away from the beach. TIP: Our favourite beach spot on Seven Mile Beach was right after... More

Have visited the Cayman Islands many times and can say without a doubt that Shangri-La is the best B&B on the island. It’s located in a more residential area, West Bay, far enough away from Seven Mile Beach so you will not see the hundreds of cruise ship tourists being dropped off at the beaches or shops. It's a 5min... More

(APRIL 2007) Oh this really was a quaint and pretty B&B - friendly atmosphere and family run. Rooms were very pretty - mine not particularly massive but big enough with nice views and TV and ensuite. The food was great, a cook came every morning and we ate either inside or outside and there was more than enough to eat.... More

This is a very quiet B&B retreat in the north end (West Bay) of Seven Mile Beach, far from the noisy crowds of downtown, and the wild (and very expensive) resorts along the beach. The hosts, George and Maureen, were extremely gracious, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Royal Palm room, nicely decorated and with a comfortable king bed.... More

First, let me say that this review is WAYY overdue by about 2.5 years. I have been to Grand Cayman quite a few times and was dying to show it off to my husband. I found this place in one of the sidebars in Google. What a find! The house itself is beautiful with updated furnishings, not your typical B&B.... More
