The lush landscape, edible gardens, and mini menagerie make Carnetta's Inn a unique, relaxing property that's a contrast to the industrial environs of Port of Spain. Nature enthusiasts will love this place. Those looking for "standard" accommodations may not appreciate the experience. Carnetta's Inn is actually two separate properties. One property fronts Saddle Road, and those rooms are smaller and... More

I was so excited to go to Trinidad for the Carnival this was a trip for my birthday to myself. It was a group of 12, that travelled to Trinidad. Once I saw the pic's on TripAdvisor I was trying to book another place like the Hilton or the Hyatt, but everything was sold out. This Bed and breakfast wasn't... More

I stayed at Carnetta's in late July to early August of 2010, my party included my wife and four daughters ages 13-8, we booked and received two connecting rooms, each with en suite bathroom and kitchens. we found the accommodations to be adequate as well as the service. The surroundings were well kept and somewhat relaxing, we had a full... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three days for the Carnival period, and while it wasn't the worse place I've stayed at, it's pretty high up in that ranking! We were given a room inside of the lobby to stay. When we tried to ask for another room, we were told that we requested that room- the Receptionist insisted... More

Thank you so much for your honesty its comments like these that help make us better. During the Carnival period most hotels are usually totally booked, especially a small property like ours where sometimes every room is sold, however our staff should try to be as courteous as they can and try as much as possible to assist our welcomed guests.... I noticed there weren't any recent reviews on Carnettas. My friends and I stayed here last February for the week of Carnival (we also played mas with a band). We had problems finding a hotel, so when Carnetta's came up as the last place to have a room for 4 people we accepted and didn't expect much. The best way... More

This is the first review I have ever written on TripAdvisor but we had a negative experience at Carneeta’s Inn, and I feel I must tell others about it. I do want to add that our cab driver said that Carnetta’s Inn has recently changed ownership which makes sense because it appears that the reviews for the hotel have changed... More

I have traveled many places around the world and this hotel by far was the worst. I booked this hotel based on the website information and picture. The picture of the room on the website is bright, clean and shows a large room. Our room was dark, dirty and small. There was a 2 in x 2 ft space in the... More

I stayed at this property about 18 months ago, and am finally compelled to write a review. After looking at the web page, and reading the descriptions, I thought that I was going to a tropical paradise. This couldn't be further from the truth. It was very disappointing. The rooms were very, very plain and basic (that's being flattering). Although... More

Spent a wonderful 5 days at Carnetta's Inn. Loved the ambience - the property is surrounded by trees, plants and flowers complete with a river running through. The staff were friendly and it was truly a home away from home.
