I always stay here when I travel to Uist. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Food is splendid. The evening meal food is very good restaurant quality, my favourite is the monk fish. The breakfast is equally sensational with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs standard on the menu. Friendly, helpful staff.

The Orasay Inn used to be my second home about 12 years ago whilst I was doing extensive trips to the Outer Hebrides. So, when I had to return to the Hebrides last week on business, it was my first choice of hotel on the islands, despite some of the negative reviews posted here. Well, I can say that the... More

Stayed here recently for the second time. This was a much better experience, the room was nicely decorated and clean and warm. There was a nice range of complimentary drinks in the room. There are stunning views from all the windows. The other nice addition is there is a small bar in the lounge. The breakfast was delicious with a... More

I stayed here just for one night whilst on an island hopping adventure with the dog. Being dog friendly was one of the reasons I booked here, and that it was good value for money. I arrived late in the afternoon and couldn't remember if i'd pre-paid or not... the owners were away, but the staff were very helpful and... More

I've just spent 3 days and 3 nights here whilst researching a book project. The owners have been very friendly and incredibly helpful - genuine Hebridean hospitality. As mentioned in other posts the outside is a little deceiving in that the Inn has the appearance of a modern house - but once inside you do feel made at home straight... More

Stayed here for a week will travelling to South Uist for work. Even though we arrived late, the manager ensured that the restaurant stayed open so that we could have a proper meal after our long journey. Even though the hotel looks unimposing from the outside, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, with some great views of the Hebridean... More

The welcome at the Orasay Inn was, quite simply, above and beyond what could ever have been expected - a welcome opportunity to warm up and eat on a particularly stormy day during our cycling holiday. A clear sign we were in for a good stay was the fact that the chef (on her way home) stopped to ask if... More

We were on a touring holiday in the Outer Hebrides where we received excellent service and hospitality everywhere except here. We phoned during the afternoon to confirm and book a table for dinner, yet when we arrived, having booked 2 rooms for 3 people only one single room was available. Water was leaking onto the reception desk, the proprieter did... More

It was most unfortunate what happened with this lady's reservation. The problem arose from my limited, previous experience of one particular online booking channel (not our own online service, found on our website). We had never received a multiple booking on this service and if on receipt of booking I had scrolled down and found that there was a following... More

Went to Orasay Inn for a meal and had a an excellent experience, friendly and accomodating staff, comfortable surroundings, varied menu, very good portions, delicious seafood and choice of veg & potatoes. Very good value for money. Thank you for a scrumptious meal.
