Our family of 4 and 2 grandparents stayed for a week recently. Upon entry to this resort, we were greeted with an amazing view of Healey Lake. The resort has had a recent overhaul as there are new owners. They are very friendly and courteous. The cabins have been recently updated, neat and clean as well as have great views to the lake. We stayed in Cabin #4 (Bear Cave) which had 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and the open area is where the kitchen, dining and living areas were. Early morning coffee on our cabin's porch, looking right into the lake infront of us, was so peaceful and tranquil. Highlight of our mornings! And with each cabin having their own firepit, our evenings were filled with amazing views under the stars and 10 feet from the lake. During the day we had access to the paddle boats and the canoe. And we fished off one of the docks and caught multiple fish, each day! There was also a beach area with shallow sandy swim area and a swing set for the little ones. At the Main Lodge there is a wonderful sizable patio that is right on the lake. We saw quite a few boats come and dock at the patio/market throughout the days. The patio also had a nice bar area to sit and enjoy some drinks after a fun filled day. It was opened from Thursday to Sunday and we were able to order delicious food from the market too. The market also served ice cream and other snacks, which were perfect for the kids. Due to COVID restrictions, we needed to bring our own linens, pillows, disposable dishes and cultery, but we were told beforehand and we're well prepared. We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Healey Lodge and Market and we will definately be back next year!

As always Muskoka is very beautiful & Healey Lake is quite nice. It's a big lake with lots to see & very clean to swim in. I love to swim & did so at least twice a day. The cottages at the lodge are nice & so provide most necessities except the usual toiletries, towels & toilet paper. They do provide linens & are also clean/well kept. Each cottage faces the lake, has it's own little dock as well as a fire pit with Adirondack chairs around it-which is a nice touch. You do have to pay $20 for each bundle of wood which is hand cut for you. There is also a shared park in front of the cottages on the sand for the children. Great fishing/boating area as well. It is owned/run by an older couple. The husband is very nice, caring & considerate. Unfortunately the wife is quite rude which put a damper on our experience but we refused to allow her to ruin our time there & had a wonderful time :)

Our family rented a cottage from Roy and Lizanne for a week. All 5 cottages were occupied, which gave the kids plenty of playmates. The accommodations are simple. The child friendliness of the place is what we were looking for. We never had to worry about where the kids were and there were always small fish to be caught and released from one of the many docks. The calm, shallow waters made it easy for the smallest child to enjoy the water without worry. Fun was had by all!

This place is definitely a hidden gem! Beautiful renovated cottages at a reasonable price. The owners are super friendly and definitely make the experience wonderful. Great swimming and fishing! Tons of lake to boat on and great sandy beach for the kids to swim. Fires a night definitely a highlight. You definitely cannot go wrong here!

We spent 2 weeks here this summer & enjoyed the experience immensely. We have been cottaging in the Muskokas for 27 summers & found these cottages to be very clean, well maintained, comfortable & well equipped to handle all our needs. Easy assess to the beach & docks right outside our cottage. Very quiet, a tranquil setting, just what we were looking for as a getaway. The owners were very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next summer. The negative review was way off base in my opinion.

We spend a week in two of the cottages with friend, quite place, on the water, easy access to the water with a boat. The hosts are very friendly and very helpful. I had a problem with my boat and they helped me to bring someone over to fix it. The cabins are clean and renovated, very simple and friendly. Next week we are there again. If you look for something nice, not too expensive and quite, you got it.

This was our first cottage experience - first and successful. I decided to share my opinion only because I read the first negative comment, just to object it. Our cottage was very comfortable, clean and seconds away from the lake and playground. I can't say how clean were the pots and pans, because we used our own. The cottage was equipped with everything needed: microwave, bbq, TV and Wi Fi.The water pressure in the shower was OK. You definitely need to bring water for drinking. Our daughter was very happy with the warm lake water and provided toys. We would go there again and advise to friends.

I really can't see why anyone would complain about this Lodge. We had a great weekend, the cabin was clean and comfortable, lots of presure in the shower. The hosts were very friendly and looked after anything we needed. The fishing was a little tough for our first time on the water but the trails were a blast, lots of trails to run in the area. Boat launch was good and the docks in front of the cottages all in good shape and safe for the boat. We are planning another trip to Healey Lake Lodge forsure!

Not what the photos looked like...... stained, tired, delapidated furniture, flat mattresses, dirty pots and pans, no (and I mean NO) water pressure, rickety cottages (our family used 2 side-by-side). The whole place felt damp, cold, and scuzzy! Never again. Took a video on camera-phone for the 'discussion'. Got a refund after much insistence and the 'discussion' with owners. The owners seemed tired of owning, hosting and dealing with it.
