Philippe and Lori provide very good accommodation and general support, including Internet, at extremely reasonable prices. Beds very comfortable, shared bathrooms very clean, plenty of hot water. And a whole wall film show every night! Very close to the train station, easy for buses and taxis, also good local restaurants. Just one word of caution - the owners were minded... More

I can only recommend this hostel! I was backpacking through Mexico and arrived late at night with the Chepe train. The owners, a Mexican/French couple, were very friendly and welcoming and made me feel at home immediately. I stayed in Chihuahua just one night and the staff was very helpful with advice what to do/see, where to go in town.... More

This hostel is new and clean, and the best part is that it sits right across from the station that the Copper Canyon train leaves from at 6:00 a.m. in the morning! The second class train leaves an hour later, and it is every bit as good at half the price. There is a Pollo Feliz restaurant about two blocks... More

In every respect a great place: friendly, safe, superclean, comfortable and superb location near train station, Pancho Villa museum and pleasant side of Chihuahua. A special thanks after our 6 weeks trip to Mexico goes to the owner who gave very valuable tips what to see and where to stay. Some of these places were not obvious despite two excellent... More

"Casa Chihuahua" in Chihuahua city is located on Calle 22a & Mendez, opposite the ferrocarril train station (or "Chepe") where you take the Copper Canyon/La Barranca del Cobre train to Creel, El Divisadero & eventually Los Mochis. It is run by a Frenchman called Phillipe and his Mexican wife, Lori who previously lived in Switzerland. They also have two gorgeous... More

This is a really great hostel which offers good value for money. It is owned/run by a lovely couple who really couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as possible. There is a double room and two dorm type rooms, they were very clean and were next door to three brand new shower rooms. There is free internet... More

A wonderful low-budget place to stay. If you are traveling to/from Copper Canyon by train there is no better place. It is right across the street from the train station! The Casa Chihuahua is a hostel but has double rooms too. We (5 of us) stayed for two nights and Phillipe (the owner) gave us a whole 10-bed dormitory to... More

Stayed there last night. Was a bit suspicious as it does not appear on Lonely Planet, but it was so close to the station and I was so dead tired I decided to give it a try. Well... Very nice couple, reconverted from finance/it to their own hostel. They manage it by themselves and one can notice it, although they... More
