I stayed here with a bunch of friends. We had a great time. The hotel is a nice place to stay no downtown but in a good enough location that you can take a short cab ride or a walk to local restaurants and nightclubs. THe nightlife in acapulco is phenominal. This coming from a person who is from NYC... More

I've been going there for almost 40 years when it was the Hyatt chain. The employes are all so nice and willing to help, great service. I stayed in a remolded room with a spectacular view of the bay. The rooms were beautiful. Every morning going down for breakfast at "La Ceiba", was a treat where the food was great... More

Old marriot hotel taken up by independent hotel operator. Currently some reconstruction going on. Restaurant had a breakfast beuffet OK selection but a bit pricy. Very POOR (slow) internet access even you need to pay separetly. Good point was the beach was clean and could enjoy an early morning swim. More

For me and my wife's first trip to Acapulco we chose the Grand Hotel as part of the package. We had intended to upgrade the room to one of the renovated room on the upper floors, but changed our mind after being in our room for less than an hour. We had a corner room on the fifth floor with... More

Stayed here while attending a convention and probably because I had the convention rate of $130 USD per night, I was put into the lesser quality accommodations. I had a large suite that looked to have the original furnishings from whenever this place was built, several decades ago. I have read that parts of the hotel have been recently renovated,... More

Caution, make sure you get a remodeled room. Otherwise, it's not worth it. Rooms are old and not worth the price of admission. That being said, the facilities are solid, and the location is great. 20 min from the airport. Once they finish completely renovating the hotel, it should be back up to at least a 3 star hotel. Until... More

While its always a pleasure to visit Acapulco the hotel situaton there is not always up to date, properties in Cancun, Los Cabos and other areas exceed Acapulco in comfort. I just spent four days at the Grand at a special summer rate which was attractive. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms look elegant as do the... More

Our suite was beautiful, large, and had a full view of the bay. The entire staff made sure our stay was pleasant. We celebrated our 50th. Wedding Anniversary, and we were happy that we that we decided to go to Acapulco contrary to advice that it wasn't safe. We didn't see any trouble there day or night. Overall, our stay... More

Have come to this hotel for many years. Since becoming the Grand Hotel it has exceeded our expectations. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Staff (bell hops to check-in and hotel personnel) helpful and courtious. Breakfast/brunch in El Ciba always a wonderful experience. Food and service top notch. El Pesqador overlooking beach for lunch and dinners is excellent.. Again food and... More

Thiis was our second stay at the Grand (last time it was called the Hyatt). We had a renovated room on the 20th floor -- the top seven are renovated. Renovation has stopped for now but supposedly will start up again in May. The room was beautiful--especially the lighting and the spacious shower room. Bathroom had two sinks which is... More
