I would never recommend anyone buy a timeshare here or use their weeks here as it is clear that once they have your money they don't care about you as a customer in the least. I have to basically agree with most all of ScubaTrek's recent review of Mayan Palace. The resort itself is great overall. The food was good, and relatively reasonably priced, the beach was great, there was lots of space, and it's family oriented, with a relatively low intensity clientel, and the staff was very friendly. Although your choice of eating places with children is rather slim on the resort, not a single thing that we ordered to eat was not delicious. After a week of staying there the kids found their "favorite" foods and there were plenty of activities to keep them busy. more

Mayan Palace is a very elite and fun place to be for the whole family. The huge pool is so long that it never seems to be crowded.
