Can't add much to the positive reviews already on here ... loved Villa Vera for all the reasons everyone else does. All staff were friendly and helpful, Ceasar was the best!! Pleasant walk into town, a bit more challenging back (uphill then stairs) but helped to work off the guacamole and chips! We usually took taxis back at night as... More

We spent a very nice week at this lovely, small, quiet hillside retreat in January, 2013. The staff were freindly and remarkably helpful. Our assistant concerge really went the extra mile for us in finding us just the adventures we wanted and even took us to her sister's beachside restaurant in Playa Linda. She took the time to understand who... More

My experience at Villa Vera was similar to most other reviewers....Hotel is located up on a hill looking over the bay which means great views and some walking. This was fine for us but if you have trouble getting around this might not be the place for you. We ate hear for one dinner and one breakfast both were very... More

If what you want is to relax, relax, relax, this IS the place for you. If you want pool jazzercise and bingo, do not come. The setting is perfect for the view of the Zihua Bay (but not on a beach). Do not be put off by the road in--you only see it when the taxi brings you and takes... More

If you want a quiet, small great place to stay, this is it. I did not want to post it because I want to come back without having reservation problems. Staff is great and they leave you alone. Not a place to bring your little kids. The food is good, but you can also walk to town to several very... More

Very nice hotel. Rooms are a good size. All rooms and balconies overlook the bay which is beautiful at night. Have seen whales come into the bay. You are able to see all the fishing boats going out. Pool also looks out over the bay. We walked to town and back each evening for dinner. We also walked to Playa... More

We stayed here using our Raintree Vacation Points. We have had a great experience at this small quite resort. It is a short walk to town about 10 min where on the way you can find some great places to eat.

Just got back from a wonderful week at Villa Vera. It's a bit of a hike down to El Centro or the beach, but we actually felt that was a plus. This is what I would call a "boutique" hotel - I believe 23 rooms total. It is a Raintree timeshare, and can also be simply booked thru the hotel... More

As others have said, this is a villa, not a mega-resort. Ixtapa is the Gov't designated tourist zone, with the international resorts, and is just up the road if you want that kind of facility. The intimate setting allows guests to socialize with the staff and each other, or to tuck away and enjoy a romantic escape. I wrote another... More

My husband and I have been back to Villa Vera several times and each time fall in love with it more. I read a previous review which was very negative and had to respond. It was amazing. If you want to immerse yourself in the Mexican culture, this is the place to visit -- not a place like Ixtapa which... More
