I will not go back. Here's why. I arrived and was upsold on a room with "Club" privileges. Free breakfast buffet (a little lame) and evening snacks, upgraded room for 29 dollars/night. So I said OK. They then told me that they were giving me an extra special room -#1835 - because they had run out of the room in... More

As a Guadalajara resident, I never get to stay over at local hotels. Many of my customers do and I usually recommend them the GDL Hilton. On New Year's Eve the Presidente Intercontinental offered a great deal: MXN 2,300.00 (USD 160.00) for a NYE party (two persons), including a room for the night. I have to say that our whole... More

We were offered a room in the Club Intercontinental area because it was going to be very private and not noisy. It was during Christmas holidays and my husband and I wanted to wake up late. The second night, there where maintenance people three rooms away from ours fixing a door at 8 am. I asked the person to stop... More

This is some of the best service we have ever received - always with a smile. We enjoyed a junior suite that was beautiful and newly renovated(in the last year I was told) on the Club level. We visit Guadalajara a couple of times a year and will definitely return here. There are cheaper hotels in Guadalajara(we have stayed in... More

Very well located across from plaza del sol shopping center and close to many excellent restaurants. About 15 minutes from el centro and about 20 to 25 minutes from the airport. Had a club level corner room with a beautiful view, complimentary bottled water, wifi ,continental breakfast and covered parking. Well worth the 30 dollars additional per night. Not the... More

You know what you are getting when you stay at an Intercontinental hotel. I stayed here during the Parapanamerican Games. The hotel was quite full but the service didn't suffer. The hotel is located across the street from a "mall" which is nice. You can get inexpensive water and find local inexpensive places for a quick bite to eat. The... More

Best rooms for business travel I've seen hands down. Lot's of room for everything, stylish design, and plugs everywhere. There's even a built in european outlet in the desk. Now that's something I've never seen in a North American hotel. 9/10 More

Just this past week I stayed with a group of seven for only one night before an early flight. We arrived very tired and travel weary. Initially they were unable to retrieve our reservations but staff handled this very nicely and all was resolved. Our room was great and well equiped with tv, coffee maker, iron/ironing board, etc. We had... More

Like others have noted, this hotel is now fully renovated. It may not be the first choice for those who would prefer to stay in the historic center, but it affords a glimpse into the more modern and quite lively middle-class sections in the western side of Guadalajara. The hotel staff are particularly professional and friendly. There are a few... More

I stayed at the Presidente a few years ago and found it to be pretty dated. They've apparently done a major renovation recently and the result is a great, modern hotel. More
