With a name like that, I knew right away I'd love it. I booked for one week and ended up staying almost two, in their second building on Callejon Perros Muertos (dead dogs lane), which is just across the pedestrian plaza from the main building and up a lane at the end. I understand they also have apartments in a... More

I stayed in two types of accommodations that belonged to El Zopilote Mojado. The first 4 nights I was in a private apartment of theirs. The apartment was two short blocks from the hotel main office which is also a cafe that prepares delicious light meals. The manager of the hotel is a very kind and welcoming person. She went... More

This hotel is a cafe turned hotel, and it is absolutely lovely! It is kinda hidden, but the location is fabulous! it is cozily located in a little plaza on one uphill street. Staying there feels as if you live right there, in the middle of romantic Guanajuato! The staff was very helpful and friendly, I did not eat breakfast... More

Just returned from first visit to Guanajuato--what a great city. My boyfriend and stayed in the Dante apartment (not in the main building but a 2 minute walk to it) and I would definitely go back. First, all of the staff is very helpful, starting with Gabriela. and all the others whose names I do not know. El Zopilote Mojado... More

Just returned from a two-day stay in Guanajuato and loved so many things about the city. Close to the top of the list is El Zopilote. It's located in three houses around a lovely plaza where there is no auto traffic. Our room was on the second floor of the main building (which houses the reception desk and small restaurant)... My girlfriend and I stayed at the El Zopilote Mojado for a week in October/November specifically for Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) celebration. The Inn is located in the historic district and is within walking distance of most attractions. We started in the Azul (blue) room. The room is large with its own bathroom. The room was... More

I have stayed at Zopolite twice before and will return again in a month. Great place and value. Located on the intimate Plaza Mexiamora in the city center, easy walk to all the sights and plazas. I highly recommend the guesthouse and Embajadoras room. Wonderful rooftop terrace with great views of the city. As good or better as anything in... More

We stayed at the Zopilote Mojado while exploring gorgeous Guanajuato. We did not stay in the main house, but instead had a room in a house a block away. It was a nice house, just not near the eating areas or staff. The room was clean, and our patio had an amazing view. The wifi did not work while we... More

My partner and I spent a week in Guanajuato, staying at El Zopilote Mojado in the Embajadoras room (This room is spacious, but does not have a view overlooking the city; however, the room is located steps from a shared patio and stairs to the terrace). We chose this place after reading other reviews and doing a price comparison on... More

The staff was friendly and wonderful! They were doing renovations on the double twin room that my girlfriend and I booked so they put us in two beautiful rooms of our own with a shared bathroom... The azul and blanco room. They were beautiful along with the bathroom. I looooove this place!!
