My husband and I stayed 3 weeks at the Candelabro & Retablo Suites, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The suites are very clean, well-kept, and the drinking water tap, washing machines, etc are great amenities. Ana & Mike were very kind and thorough, and we repeated a number of the tips to friends that Mike told... More

A beautiful apartment at the top of Calle Alhondigas. We stayed in the top floor (of three floors) and had a wonderful time. It really has all you need for an extended stay and the price is extremely reasonable. With a separate bedroom, living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen (not to mention a computer, tv and cell phone!) it's really... More

Everything you need for an apartment stay-comfortable, clean, nicely furnished and incredibly equipped with washer, drier, computer, cell phone. it's a good 30 minute walk to the centre but a quick 30 peso cab thru the tunnels right to anywhere in the historic district. Guanajuato is a very vibrant town. movie premier at the Teatro one night. Listened to a tenor... More

We stayed at the El Juguete suite in San Javier, approx 15 min walk to the Alhondiga de Granaditas and 25 min walk to Plaza de la paz. It is a bit of a treck back up from the town, but we were aware of this beforehand. Taxi's are cheap enough 25 to 30 pesos from town. The suite was... More

First off, the place is great. We stayed at the Alhondiga House, not far from it's famous namesake, for an entire month in July/August 2012. It's got everything you can think of, is even better than the pictures and the rooftop view is AMAZING. Be warned though, there are lots of stairs up and down, so if you are unfit... More

A perfect aspect of our nearly perfect two weeks in Guanajuato was the hospitality afforded by Mike and Ana. I agree wholeheartedly with other reviewers about this being "the best equipped and supplied" accommodation, down to a cell phone, mosquito repellent, computer with internet/wi-fi, cable TV, disinfectant for vegetables, and all the kitchen amenities -- plus a large shower, laundry,... My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this Casa.just to hang out in Guanajuato and explore..what a wonderful place and the host and hostess couldn't be any friendlier and professional. All your needs are met down to sugar for your coffee, and cell phone to use for emergencies to call them. Great Mex neighborhood to get all your foodstuffs... More

We spent a very enjoyable week at La Casa de Dona Ana. The apartment was extremely clean, well appointed and decorated in such a colorful way. It is an easy and interesting walk to the center of town. This was probably the best equipped and supplied apartment we have ever stayed in. It would be ideal for a long term... More

The Candalabra suite is immaculate and charming, nicely decorated with Mexican folk art, and convenient to buses, taxis, shops and restaurants. It's not a long walk to the historic center, and it always felt good to get back to the apartment. I saved some money by cooking breakfast and dinner, and was happy with the all the appliances and equipment... More

The suites were beautifully furnished with local decorations and artifacts, making the visit feel like an authentic Mexican experience.. Everything was available for cooking, doing laundry, connecting with wifi, TV; so well thought out, all the comforts of home plus a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace overlooking the city. The suites are located a 15 minute walk from downtown.... More
