Loved where the hotel is, but combination of poor ventilation, smells in the bathroom, lack of any type of view, hit and miss hot water and threadbare towels for example lessened the experience. Bed was very hard but ok. Thin wall or dividing door meant that you could hear every word in the next room. An internal room was provided... More

Although the building was beautiful and the location great, the hotel badly needs renovation. There is neither double glazing or air conditioning so the windows have to be kept open at night and the noise from the Zocalo is unbelievable. Everything was dirty - the carpet, the curtains, the coffee mugs. The towels were torn - we had them changed... More

Situated in the Zocalo, this hotel has the best location that you can get in Mexico City. The entrance is on calle Madero that is pedestrian only. So no trafic noise. It has a nice restaurant with a view on the zocalo. The staff is polite and helpful. You can walk calle Madero feeling safe when shopping.

We were three couples on a tour of the city and decided that we would stay at the Majestic for the 5 days we were in the city. We arrived after a very long 14 hour drive late, just wanted a room to sleep. Well we ended up moving 3 rooms till we got a room that was almost what... More

my daughter and i stayed here late january 2013. the motel was clean and the staff were incredibly helpful. the noise described in one review just did not happen. the view was amazing over the zocalo. Felt very safe and the travel agency within the motel was also excellent. I would go back again and again just loved it!!!

I stayed at the Hotel Majestic for 2 nights. The hotel was clean, safe with security staffing the gates at night, and had very helpful staff. The beds were acceptable but not up to the overall quality of the hotel in other respects. The restaurant upstairs has an excellent breakfast buffet and has outdoor dining overlooking the Zocalo (central square)... More

I booked a Best Western as I have been in the Best western in Paris Boulogne & Podgorica, which were quite nice. I stayed there 2 nights, and ran away towards another hotel. The good points: - Large rooms (at least mine, #608) - Good location (in front of the Zocalo) The bad points: - Disgusting lunch (the T-bone was... More

This place has a great location, in the historical center of Mexico City, the building is gorgeous. However, being and old building it needs special maintenance, more than regular modern buildings. This hotels lacks of this maintenance and you can feel just upon entering to your room. It was very humid inside, you can smell the humidity. The worst part... More

Gee I just love this place. I stay elsewhere in Mexico City from time to time but always ultimately head back to the Majestic. The location, the windows facing out onto the Zocolo, the wonderful staff always make me happy. Ask for a room facing the Zocolo. If the beds are too hard, they have had foam pads to add... More

The location was great easy and close to many attractions but the beds were the hardest I have ever slept on. It is located on the zocalo so the noise at night was often loud. The buffet was good and the service was good. It is a very old hotel so the fixtures and amenties reflect that.
