This hotel may seem uninviting, at first. Don't be put off...! For about 20 bucks a night, The Juarez is unbeatable! It is clean, safe and located in the heart of the Centro Historico; close to shops, cafes, the Metro and the Zocalo! The hotel provides 2 bottles of filtered water a day, friendly staff and a good place to... More

As backpacker travelers, we are never very demanding, we are accustomed to very different conditions, and therefore was the Hotel Juares pure luxury for us ha ha ha! It is centrally located, cheap, comfortable rooms, very nice decoration with the little fountain in the hallway and sweet staff. We traveled in Mexico for 2 months in 2006 (there were no... More

The rooms are clean and comfortable aside from the flat pillows. Staff is most gracious and helpful. There was extremely loud music across the ally a couple years ago but not anymore. Hotel is conveniently located to everything, price is under $20 for a double bed, private baths are nice and there is a phone and cable tv. The hotel... More

Hotel Juarez is a hotel that's a little off of the beaten path, but close enough to hop back into the action. It's located in an L-shaped alley off of 5 de Mayo. The bed was pretty comfortable, but to me the pillows were a bit thin. Overall, it's a very affordable hotel, $200 pesos (or more) per night, and... More

We stayed at Hotel Juarez January 29-February 3, 2010. The location is perfect - on a quiet side street in very close proximity to the Centro Historico and Zocalo. It is also close to two metro stops, good restaurants and conveniences. We paid 200 pesos a night (about $15 US). For the price, it can't be beat. The hotel is... More

I had to travel to Mexico City in late January and a friend made the reservation for me. it is simple, safe, somewhat comfortable and right there in the Historic district. The room was OK, it did have a small window. All rooms surround a dark courtyard with an ancient fountain. it was a unique experience. There were people from... More

After kind of splurging in Campeche, I really wanted to be cheap in Mexico City. We read that Hotel Juarez was clean and cheap, and it's only about a block from the Mexico City Zocalo, so I thought that would be perfect. It mostly lived up to what we had read. We paid $25 for a double room. It was... More
