Source of noise was from inside of the hotel. Windows open to internal halls and every conversation (or activity), even in other rooms, can be heard loud and clear. At least ceiling fan was quiet. This hotel probably should be avoided. The rooms are noisy and none of our windows opened out onto the street. Instead, they opened into the hallway. We only picked it because it was near the center of town.

This hotel is good with the people over there as they are really nice and try to get help even though they don't speak English.

We stayed three nights at the Gala after fleeing from Hotel Mariposa. Small doesn't begin to describe the rooms. You have to step outside to change your mind.
