The Royal Mayan is our favorite Royal Resort Property in Cancun. It is small and quaint. The grounds are outstanding and the upper sun decks affords you about another half hour sunshine each day, so peaceful with the wave crashing in the Carribbean Sea below. The only villas I would not recommend would be in the F and H buildings...

My family has been coming here (and to the neighboring Royal Caribbean) for over 10 years. The place is immaculately clean and the grounds are pretty and well tended, the pool is very clean, and there is always some kind of maintenance or cleaning always happening somewhere - nothing is ever left to fall apart, break down, or get dingy....

This timeshare resort, one of seven, of the Royal Resorts group is still great. Outstanding staff, good food, and activities make the Royal Mayan a very nice place to vacation. Demographics skew to mature adults, often coming with grandchildren.

We had a wonderful stay, when we arrived the staff welcomed us like it was our home. Very clean. The staff went out every morning and clean the BEACH. Really enjoyed our stay.

We've been coming to the Royal Mayan for years and it's always a great experience. So sad that 2013 will be its last year in the Royal family. It's by far our favorite of the 5 Cancun properties. For those of you who haven't been to the Mayan yet, go while you still can. You will not regret it.

The resort is lovely with beautiful landscaping. The unit was a bit outdated, but very clean. Maid service was provided daily. The beach was awesome, the ocean beautiful, but a challenge to swim in because of the undertow and winds. We used Thomas Moore for the shuttle service from and to the airport. I have stayed at the Royal Mayan many times and I want to let you know the service is outstanding. From the bellboys to the concierge, to the restaurants are all impeccable service and value. I would recommend this resort to everyone.

The hotel was lovely. The location was a mistake. There was no usable beach, now view of the ocean from the grounds. The food was marginal. I would never, never go there again.
