Typical hotel for large groups of people and forniture pretty old. We chose the hotel for the unbeatable location (right outside secondary entry of Chichen Itza. Food in the restaurant was ok. View from the room nice. More

This place is luscious...tropical, delightful and full of surprises. The birds, trees, staff, flowers, pools and bungalows create a sensational setting for romance and/or families. My five year olds loved the grounds. They did not swim in the pools as it was unseasonably cool for late December, but loved running raround on the grounds. The Mayaland is a lovely hotel on beautiful grounds just outside the back entrance to the ruins. If you stay overnight, you simply cannot beat the location. The staff was very professional and welcoming, in particular the bartender at the little bar outside the entrance. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
