We had a overnight stay in Merida. Casa Chalia's owners were very friendly and helpful. Traditional Breakfast was yummy! The hotel was extremely close to a bus station and was enjoyable walk to the town centre. We went there on Sunday so the Square was full of people, fun and different souviers in the market.

We were surprised that the owners were Flemish and spoke Dutch. They helped us a lot as we were not good with Spanish. We stayed for 3 nights enjoyed our stay. The room was pretty basic but clean and we found breakfast to be quite hearty and more than enough to keep you going all morning. The owners were very friendly and helpful and a willing source for all local knowledge.
