We arrived at Zafiro after a few days at the Playa Palms in Playa del Carmen and one night at Cabanas Copal. A friend had told us about Zafiro and it was a bit hard to find, seeing as there is no sign, only a colorful pareo blowing in the wind to indicate an entrance. After having been let in by the groundskeeper, who we soon knew as don Nicolas, we met with Yuri, the owner who showed us one of the two cabanas available for rent on his property. Wonderfull high palapas roof, double bed and twin bed, shower with hot water and pressure, toilet (semi-covered from the room) sink, desk, funky closet and shelving unit...basically everything you need to be a happy camper, which is essentially what you are as a guest at Zafiro.
